The D500c is specially made for the Asian market. The specification is the same, there are only som changes in WAP/GPRS.

hey all...i dont have this phone but i was wondering how well bluetooth in this phone workz. you see...older samung phones that use infrared dont connect and there isnt any option to send itemz. i was wonder if you can send stuff over bluetooth with this phone ***URGENT***

I was thinking of getting this fone since end of last year but it was not available till only lately. Then i stumbled into this page http://www.expansys.com.hk/forum.asp?code=116173&page=1 seens to have quite a lot of problems. now i don't know if i want it o not??

ma battery is rubbish!!! it only lasts 4 about 30 hours

I own D500 and rate it as an average. Batt lasts well 48 hours or less. Infrared does not receive from many other phones not all it can from some.Dreadfull skins only 4 colors and if you want to see more details its not that easy. I mean you can see the time and date that you have receive a store message or a call etc but not the way other phones have; it looks childish also does not have some more advance functions lets say as Nokias or Siemens like , you cant use a ringtone or downloaded sound for messages (when you received)only 10 preinstall sounds

Memory Is enough for a person who will be using their pc to store everything they have like me. But for someone who does not do this and stores only on their phone may find its not enough.

i'm using this model since three months ago...
althought it is quite expensive for a student when i bought it,it is reasonable when i found that this is samsung first model that have bluetooth...
all the picture i took using this model is extremely nice....compare with other model....
the only sad thing is it cannot support multi media card...

the thing with samsung you cannot bluetooth songs over to them because it cannot support aac, but if samsung bluetooth it over using mp3 it is double the memory for instant, my nokia 7610 song over and over is 4000 kb and the d500 is 8000 kb, so you will not be able to store that much songs on it.
so hopefully the d600 supports aac, even though they sayon the d500 specs they did

Ah ya, this phones sucks. agree with previous post by MB, just wonder people who praise this phone know how to fully use the phone or what they need is numeric key pad and call button. The other drawbacks.
1. if you send SMS and close the slide (with stop action if slide close feature)soon after the message is sent screen, you will receive "message save in draft" and cannot find the message in outbox. while actually the message has been sent
2. T9, Indonesia may be this is Korean version of Indonesian language 80% of the words is wrong and strange. Better honestly tell that you cannot provide T9 in Indonesia
3. Battery, it is areal shit normal use last for only 1 day.
4. Cannot edit and see the word that we added in the dictionary. It seem the nuymber of word is limited and if you added new word previous word si deleted. Very annoying.
5. Try the easy studio and you will see that it is maybe usefull to export phone books
6. After so many complaints for this phones, just wonder if samsung is going to update the software?

Hi! I'm thinking of buying this phone but I'm a bit apprehensive because it does not have a memory card . For the D500 users out there, do you find that this is a setback? Or is the internal memory enough?

The recommended retail price for this phone in Australia varies from shop to shop. Most shops sell it between $929AUD to $1200AUD depending on how many stores they have and if they but it in bulk and spread it over the stores.
So if your going to get this phone next week in Australia shop around for the best price.

Not a bad phone but was wondering can anyone tell me if you can get rid of the menu on the screen. It only appears to be the orange models that have this.
