I owned one of these phones for a few days and thought it was the most fantastic phone on the market (had been looking for ages), but found out that alarm tones only last for about 2 seconds and no vibrate.... message received tones last about 5 seconds and no vibrate.... scheduled event alarms last about 3 seconds and again no vibrate. The only way to get the vibrate on these alarms is to put it into silent mode... but of course, then you won't hear it if it's not in your pocket and you forget to switch mode again!. This made the phone useless to me as I use alarms and scheduled events all the time.... otherwise a fantastic phone. If Samsung would fix this feature I'd definately buy one again.

It is a slide like the E800 but alot smoother, it does not eject when you press a button.

if i can give everybody some advice, i am in the mobile industry, if you do get a new phone use it first before charging it for 16hrs, think about it....when you switch your phone on for the first time it has at least 15% power already that would last you half a day, so when you put it on charge immediately only the remaining 85% charges for 16hrs and not the existing 15%, yes you will loose stand by, and for the next 5 charges run it down and charge......hope it helps.
