I have one, i'm in Australia
It is a slide like the E800 but alot smoother, it does not eject when you press a button.
When is this phone available in Australia?????
Anyone in Australia that has purchased this phone please tell me where as i am dying to get this phone.
im a bit confused on some web sites it says that the samsung d500 has a button which u press and the keypad shots down n some dont mension it so i was just wondering if any one could help me i have just purchised one for my self and its been shipped out
if i can give everybody some advice, i am in the mobile industry, if you do get a new phone use it first before charging it for 16hrs, think about it....when you switch your phone on for the first time it has at least 15% power already that would last you half a day, so when you put it on charge immediately only the remaining 85% charges for 16hrs and not the existing 15%, yes you will loose stand by, and for the next 5 charges run it down and charge......hope it helps.
mmmmmmmm.....wait let me think......yeahhhhh please let go of your e630, oh no rather drive back and forth over it......BY ALL MEANS GET THE D500 I DONT HAVE TO EXPLAIN MYSELF, look at the features and then look at the e630
Yup.. i did charge my phone when i 1st got it.. but i only charged it for 10hrs as wad my service provider person told me.. But b4 charging for 10hrs,as there is still some batt left in my d500.. so i used it for abt 40mins b4 charging it for 10hrs.. is this the prb y my batt life is so short..? and can anyhow help me with the transferring of pics?
so.. i spend 2 days to read all the posts here.. I found MANY positive opinions, but also some negative. But for me is too late.. I already have one of these .. my brother just bought one for me from UK . I'm expecting to arrive here, in Romania, in max 10 working days.
I HOPE that I will not be disapointed, as I had a chance to buy that V3 from Motorola ( another piece of art), but in the final , I bought D500 (as it has more good things and options)
I my view .. D500 has 2 or 3 things that it should had !
1. voice dialing ( I can live without it)
3. radio FM ( I cand live without it, also )
3. memory card ( but hey .. it has 96 mb mem, IR, BT and USB )
Did you charge your phone when you first got it for 16hrs?
Just got this phone and it rocks.

hMm.. i think u shld know urself.. E630 is not 260K.. Its camera is not 1.3 mega pixel.. The functions is not as good as and as not many as D500.. D500 have voice clarity N speaker too.. Somemore the camera have 4x digital zoom & 7x zoom for still shot.. wad's there more to consider abt?
so if any would help me please.
i have samsung e630 should i change it and go for the d500 or stick with what i have?
wops i meant i bought it for $AUD605. didn't know AUD has appreciated to Rp7450 now.:)
I've had my D500 for a week now and while I agree its a stunning looking phone I'm afraid thats all the praise i can give it. I did have a Samsung E700 which I loved and I now feel I want to change back. My problems with the D500 are:
1.Camera, For a 1.3 mega pixel camera I was expecting it to be better that the VGA camera on my E700 in my opinion it isnt. Where the E700 is bright and sharp i feel the D500 could do better. When in camera mode the screen tends to flicker not on E700, Zoom is jittery where as the E700 is smooth. Also when you take a picture it shrinks from a full screen picture to half screen!! Whats that all about?
2. Software. It take 12 key presses on my D500(i'm with orange so dont know if software setup is different on other networks.) to send a text message!!! Even trying to access a recieved text is a pain. It's also quite awkward to write a text I found I kept pressing the wrong buttons and wiping my message.
On the up side it still is a smart looking phone i like the MP3 player and video function but I think I'll have to change it I dont think I could live with it's down sides for a whole year. This review is my own opinion, But i'm no expert.
Can anyone please tell me when this phone is available in Australia.
Does this phone have a zoom on it and if so is it a 4x zoom etc.
