samsung brang out tha D510 same fone as the d500 wit a memory card slot thou.
but a bit harder to find in the market.

this is one of the handy mobiles that i have used and also that i have seen , but only one drawback is that it does not have extendable memory

I've been using D500 for a year now and I simply love it. I couln't live without a nokia before, but now i can't live without my Samsung.
It's easy to transfer pics, videos and mp3's from ur phone to the computer using a USB bluetooth or an infrared adapter which is easily available in the market.
The only trouble is i dunno how to save my phonebook contacts to my computer, i can't seem to copy the entire phone book to my computer at once.

You cant change the alarm tone nor can you create folders on the phone. l transfer all my info. from my pc to my phone with my bluetooth dongle and usb cable from DVD movies to music videos and pics....

It's a good phone but what l think is that the camera has got poor picture quality... but it's the best phone l can get in South Africa @ the moment it has everything l'm looking for.

for those of you who want to know how to transfer files from your phone to your pc, you'd have to get a data cable (preferably USB) to connect from the d500 to the computer.
most packages would also come with the Samsung EasyStudio software (can't remember if this actually came with the phone or not), which includes a file manager where you can access the files on your phone in a tree directory.
you can search for it online, but it's a pretty big download (at ~114mbs).

hey. iv had the d500 for 7months now, and it is stil such a gr8 fone! iv used a nokia 6680, and i found it a bit slow wen compared to the d500. dis is such a gr8 fone. go samsung!

i believe the samsung d500 uses Samsung PC Studio 2 software which you could probably knock off the internet. apart from that you'll need a datacable which should be the same for all samsung cell phones. i dont believe the d500 comes standard with these things so if you dont have the cable, u'll probably have to purchase it.
