hello , i have noticed that there's another version of this phone(D500 E) .i want ask one question :how nany versions of D500 ?and what is the differences between them?
It is a great phone, but I am having one small problem. I have a usb cable, but I am unable to upload my pictures to the pc. I have a windows xp os. please tell me the software required. thanks

to transfer stuff to and from pc to d500 you have to have Samsung PC Studio 2.o installed on your pc. the CD should've come with the phone when you bought it, otherwise, download the software from samsung's website.
Once installed, you can then use the program's File Manager to upload or download from your phone. Phone should be connected to the pc via the USB cable that also should've come with the phone.
Do not expect your PC to show that your phone is connected to it like it shows for instance, a flash disk. I was looking for that at first, too, but it's only through the File Manager on PC Studio can you see that ur phone is connected to ur pc already. Hope this helps.
The biggest disappointment I have with this phone is that is does not recognise picture messages sent from Nokia phones - it says Incompatible Message! What a shame! With all of D500's features, it can't do a basic thing that a phone should be doing - receive SMS messages! at least i get to see who sent me the message :(
hello, i think this is one of the of the best phones in this time , but one thing i'm asking for : can the camera zoom the picture ? if " yes" , how many times can the picture be zoomed?
I had purchased D500 10 days back and i had exchaged the jpeg wallpapers via bluetooth and i found they are not compatable and same with midi and real ringtones can anybody help in this matter what the format that d 50 will support in wallpapers and ringtones and left out with the handset every thing is fantastic specially the slide option and mp3 ringtones.
d500 can transfer songs/pics to computer and phone using bluetooth. If ur transfering pics from d500 to ur computer. make sure u use a bluetooth dongle to connect w/ ur computer(unless ur comp has bluetooth already). gl.
I'm thinkin bout gettin dis fone but don't know wat its like? wat du tink?
Can I copy or transfer the phone's ringtones to another phone or PC? I hope i can get an answer. Thanks!

I bought this phone last week, everything is cool but i cannot download ringtones or pics from t-zones because this phone is not designed to use in the USA, can somebody tellme if that is true?? (i called to t-mobile and that's what they told me)
when i slide the phone up the backlight stays off but when i slide it down again it comes on, the backlight stays off all the time the fone is slid up! anyone got any ideas, plz email me on email@example.com thanx.
Jamie - slide the phone open and hold down the # button for a few seconds.
Had had the D500 for about 8 months now and it's still going strong. No shakes, rattles or bits falling off. Screen still in good condition (I bought a screen cover as soon as I got it). Predictive text can be a bit argumentative at times but still happy with the phone itself.
My only gripe is with the software. How difficult is it? I'm trolling at the moment to see if anyone has written any third party software. Can recommend the phone so long as you don't want to use it with a computer.
