Pros: good quality pics; cool design; very convenient slide design
Cons: hard to text keypad ; cant save number of sender from text inbox; cant recieve phonebook via bluetooth (you must send/copy them one by one which is very cumbersome); limited message alert tones and cant be customed; to activate speaker phone, you must insert that bulky pyramid speaker (looks cool but cumbersome); no voice dial
Summary/suggestions: not advisable for heavy texters, improve bluetooth; i suggest assigning "spacebar" function to 0 or * button for easier texting

the person who dont know how to use mobiles can say that sony ericsson is best. but belive me, u cant compare the great mobile D500 to other one.

Samsung D500 is incredible, it is an incredible phone. I like it very much. I wanted this phone very much. My story was that my enghish teacher organised a trip in France and I saw a phone. I wanted to take that phone but I didn;t took it because it wasn't Samsung D500. I call my father and he told me that he took me a phone. I didn't knew what phone it was but when I went home I saw the phone but stil it wasn't Samsung D500, it was a NEC 3G e338. I didn't want that phone I was angry but I accepted the situation. I don't know how dificult it was for my parents but I wanted a Samsung D500. So friends that was my story. By the way I live in Romania. It was a pleasure talking with you. Bye!!!

Hi, i've gotten one of these replaced my e800 which i had to take back to eb repaired a few times they gave up and gave me one of these, i have to say, i have never been impressed with the functional side of samsung phones but have always thought they looked good
the e800 i had was good, for the first 2 days, but it crashed all the time!
i was surprised with this phone, bluetooth works easily, i get transfer of around 38-41k/s on average, camera quality is amazing, clear sound, can assign pictures to people so u get the caller id ? mms templates are cool to, and to whoever thinks 96mb isn't enough, most phones have 32 i thought? you can take 100's of photos on full quality i have 70 on my phone so far and thats only used 6mb, so u can get a fair few on there, and you can take video an hour long just the default is set for mms which is only a few seconds.

Hey the d500 sucks compared to Sony Ericcson k700i, being a phone checker this phone does not have the standards its said to have.1 hour, sorry 30 second video capture isnt really that great. Leave this phone @ The Link and go and get a Sony Ericsson K700i or K750i!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love Heta

i just want to know if we can buy a usb to use the mobile via the laptop. so i can send ringtones or images to mobile because while trying to send it via bluetooth it s not working and gives error in copying so i think i need USB cable. what do u think ? please advise!

in my opinion, i think that the D500 camera is pretty poor compared to s700i. s700i is much better in every way

hi you can put off the shutter sound ,when you are ready to capture a picture all you need do is click the soft ok button then go to settings it's a very nice and sweet phone recpmmended for any one who likes to you know flash

How do you actually put mp3 songs onto the D500? it's a great phone, but this is the the main reason i got it, for the mp3, can anyone tell me how to do it? thanks

hey holli i am staff from handphone shop if u want to buy samsung d500 u better choice inno P10 coz d500 no external memory no enough space to save the photo u trust me many customer n my friend already compliant...
