well i post earlier today, but i got a few more things to add after reading a few posts....
first of all,it does suck that you cant change your sms tone..
its nice to be able to lock your msgs, many other samsungs cant do that (well most of my friends' phones at least)
the auto-lock when you slide down is very useful, especially if you have a message open and just want to clear it you slide down, and the auto-unlock is just as useful...
many people are complaining about batteries.. mine isnt bad at all...
its a good phone and i would recommend it to people who are between their teens and 20s... but yes. its got great features and im enjoying every second of it!
Can anybody tell me about its sound quality & volume compare to lg 441
i bought mine yesterday, and its awesome, specially for a teen, its got all the features u need, an awesome camera, and much more thing, its a good phone and i'd give it 9/10
hi in the camera option, what option gives the best quality? is it the Mega(1152x864) or UXGA(1600X1200)??
i ordered a d600 and relized that i dont have a sandisk reader on my computer. If i buy a transflash reader (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=6785393&type=product&id=1089890841617)will i be able to use that for my microsd?? or is there a thing called microsd reader??
got mine today! damn its awesome and I havent even used all the features yet!
Hi does any know where to buy the officially original battery of D600? Cuz i just bought one online, which was shipped from HK, and the battery was not the original one. Also, i cant send MMS using this D600 in the US, does anyone know how to set it up? My email is : email@example.com
this phone kicks serious ass.
if you are having trouble with the battery life just take it back to the shop you bought it from. mine has a one year warranty so they change it imidiately.
transfer through the cable is unbelievably slow. need a usb mem card reader for this. can't wait till they release the 1gb micro sd card.
Have you guys tried listening to MP3's using bluetooth headset? What brand and model is compatible with d600 in listening to mp3 with D600? I have tried the Motorola HS820 but it only works for calls. Please guys help me.
Anyone know how to setup the "web" for this phone to be used in the United States?
I cannot establish connectivity.
JH. Thanks for the answers. Now I recall that I have seen the save and send option for SMS but had forgotten.
By the way, what particularly impressed me with this phone amongst other premium features like TV out, Picsel Viewer, plenty of zooming, exposure control, metering, white balance management and ISO sensitivity as well as colour effecs available with the camera, full-screen video playback, excellent quality video recording and nearly excellent photo quality, is the one of Bluetooth features which is the possibility to view the file content of the connected phone given the latter has adequate file structure, particularly you can get and even delete! files in the other phone. This is a feature I have never seen with any other phone, and as far as I know there is no other phone providing this option.
And one more thing. Earlier in one of my postings I was complaining of the poor night mode offered by this phone. But yesterday I was experimenting a little with my phone to figure out the optimal night mode camera performance and gladly identified that it is not that this camera is weak on this but it takes some skills and experience and also some experimenting to get this phone take decent pictures in night mode. This is very important as this phone has a lot of settings for taking photos and one needs to set the right combination of all or some of these settings to obtain really good pictures in night mode. I succeeded in that and would suggest anyone for whom good night mode picture taking is critical to go ahead and work it out and he/she will come up with higher than acceptable quality in night mode.
Having just purchased the D600 from Carphone warehouse i was told that i could put my own message tone on the phone, but that seems to not be the case. Does anyone know if it can be done and Samsung if you see this is there a software update available to do it as you are a long way behind the other manufacturers. More people get messages these days so that is the tone everyone wants to change. Any help appreciated.
does anyone know how to hide the MP3 player- coz ive done this a few times by accident but dont know how to do it intentionally. If anyone knows how to hide it( and any other nifty tricks or tips) post back thanks!!!
thanks. I assume in the UK EDGE is just as fast with tri-band as quad - is this right?
I just recently upgraded to the Samsung D600.
I am ALSO experiencing problems with Battery life. Feedback from the Samsung workshop is that a 'hardware' / 'software' upgrade is necessary - even though the phone is brand spanking new!!!! Bit of a bummer really.
Sms functions suck! No auto save of sent sms's and the predictive text is terrible!
The camera & video functions are great, but these are the added extra's. The basics really need to be worked on - How about FM radio and a REMINDER service?
Had a Sony Ericcson T630 previously and was told the Samsung was WAY better. Tend to disagree there!
Jack up the basics SAMSUNG!
If I have 2 D600, is it possible to use 1 PC to connect for both?? or do I have to re-install whenever I plug in different fones?
am having a problem with my D600 batt. when i happen to overcharge the phone, the batt lasts for only about 8-10 hours!! My regular use last for 2 days. My previous phones does not have that kind of problem when i overcharge them. is it a NO-NO in D600 to overcharge it?? or the batt that i got from the package really has the problem?? HELP!
I have a D600, but my sounds for my D600 sounds like the speakers are busted? Is mine really defected or it's just my phone. I mean I compare my sound to the Ericsson K750 and mine sounds really busted. Does anybody else have this problem? And this happens especially when I set my MP3s as my ringtone. I really this answer ASAP because it's making me really mad. Thank you very much.
