great looking phone and easy to use. the only thing about it is, that it can break easly. i only lnow this becuase, my mate had 1 and when he ent to slide it up it just gave way. hes had it for 4 months, but that shouldn't really be happening at that point in time. all what i can say is that, make sure you take good care of sliding it up and down and everythign will be ok.

have fun!

all i can say is, fans to other manufacturer are scrambling into pieces, knowing that samsung is very way ahead of the competition, and that is not all, there is more to come, from slim to swivel screen, tv broadcasting, 3g, and voice to text and more. I am not saying this phone has it all but this is one of the example features shaking other manufacturers to tremble. LOL, I believe on samsung because this company does not have the idea of "ME TOO" behavior, not like other manufacturer which copies one features to another in order to overcome one.

I just got a D600 this week and am extremely dissatisfied with it. While it has some great features, it is not at all user friendly. I've been using high-end phones for some time (my two previous phones were a P900 and an XDA IIi) and wanted to step down to something more simple but even the simplest functions of this phone are frustrating me.

Text entry is a real problem unless you use multi-tap. Why doesn't the dictionary recognize and display commonly used words, (I can't even type in the word "Want" without being forced to go into the Spell option)? Also, I can't sync it with my Outlook calendar because I have recurring appts and the phone was reading each as a separate event (it was at 398 occurrences and had taken 30 minutes when I aborted the sync).
It was advertised as a "business phone" but apparently has no value in this role. Am I missing something?

Hi guys, just bought a samsung d600. gr8 fone and features especially photos and vids, but i have a question... how can you switch the t9 when writing a message? i.e just type plain text in succsession not just one word. my previous phone was a samsung v200 and you could switch between uppercase and lowercase letters, t9, symbols and numbers but it seems the d600 only allows you to switch between t9 and numbers and it's really annoying me.. can anyone pls help me?? 10x very much..

Just got it. Very happy. Simple OS, good features, very good design, and sound clarity is first class! Small enough to drop in a pocket, change the display type to flash versus block mode, and its a handy lil phone to have.

*** Hey Wassup Ben***

Ok, wat u need to do is when u create a new event on calender, go to ur chosen date, then options and create it under 'schedule' as it allows you better options as to what time u want to be notified, also it has '4' different ringtones u can choose from when the alarm notifies u, i knw its bit SHITE that it only has '4' tones to choose from but what can u do, lets look at the whole picture, the phone is a beuaty, so lets not spoil our likeness for the phone over the calender alert...lol, wat do u say...hope this helps...

Also would anyone knw if the D600 is compatible with SAT NAV, coz i would realy like to get some software and BT reciever for my phone as its realy handy when on the road, id like to have it on my phone rather than having a seperate TOM TOM...anyone got it on their phone??? hw do u go about setting it up on the phone if is is poss..? hw much does it cost..??? Is it user firendly..? hope someones go the answers to these ?'s as im desperate to get the SAT NAV on the phone... Let me knw in ur own time...

Thnx people

I just got this phone. After I put in a calendar event and choose an alarm and then the event time comes, instead of the alarm going off, I get one measly vibrate notification. I made sure that it was not on silent mode. Anyone know how to make it so that the alarm sounds when the calendar event is reached? Much appreciated.
