Anybody read about the new Samsung T809 coming out with T-Mobile. Supposedly with contract the price is only $249. hmmmmmmmm
Guys, till now samsung does not support themes nor they r avaible on net.The biggest draw back plus D600 without auto focus camera. Its resale is hopeless and memory card not available n market even this is first mobile with slot. They r always under memory ad no software can run like sambian available for Nokia freely on net.The Gurus please address these shortfalls Thx
hum quad band or triband. the difference is that, in north america there using 850 and 1900, Or only the 1900 frequency. So if in your country u only need the 1900, u only need a triband, 4band wont make a difference. dont bother wit 4band if your cell compagny dont use the 850 .
Quad Band has GSM850 and that just makes it so much better. Better connection, signal.
here is the easy way to explane it.Would you like to have a reception even when you are in the basement - get quad band. I am surprise people still buying tri bands.
Hi. I have to admit this phone looks nice. Nice design(not very large), has nice features. There are always "+"s and "-"s about any phone, so over all this phone is good. But there is one huge minus about this phone. I truly believe it's not worth the money they asking for it - $500-$600????Give me a break. it's just not worth it. It should cost half of $600. I am not buying it.
can anyone tell me the difference between tri band and quad band? this may be a silly question but i genuinly dont know the answer and which is better... thanks
Just recently got my D600, one for my girlfriend too and very excited to checkout all the cool features and only short lived when i got some problem with the usb... something about a "windows xp logo." I've tried to uninstall the Samsung PC Studio and USB driver and then reload but continues to give me the same message. Please help if anyone has encountered this problem, i'd appreciate your response. Thanx
i cant believe in this day and age that samsung would not put vibration on one of its new phones. no vibration function means that people will miss calls
i used d600 for 1 week and believe it or not. i dont know where is the fuss!its just ok however it does have extra features that you cannot obtain from any other phone.i guess people can survive without complication of D600. cant we? we spend alot of money for unnecessary features or we just use once in 3 months...do you know what i mean
i have mine for two weeks now, it's just a great phone, i love it.. battery is a bit problem (goes for 2 days max).. it doesnt ring and vibrate at the same time but not a big deal, and i dont think u can turn the sound off for cam and nor the alert for low battery (the same sound when it finds a bluetooth device).. and i have no idea about the sonic welness, u cant use them as screensaver?
Has anyone else still not found that the phone switches itself off and back on when about to take a pic or play mp3 or receive a call, etc? Cos i've had 2 with this problem
Problem with e-mail set-up:
Have tried to setup my work e-mail on the phone, but the phone has a limit on the username field, and my e-mail address is too long to fit this limit, has anyone else come accross this? and if so.. do you have a solution other than changing my e-mail address..
quote by teacher:
'Hey people, why don't you read the manual?'
mate, i dont think you can customise your sms tones, but they do give you a selection of about 5 to choose from.
anyone know if this phone allows you to assign your own tones to the SMS alert sound? im just about to order one
hey guys guys would you mind to state how much do u bought ur D600 in USD and which country did u bought tat? Since Its pretty different... different country different price i guess... so mind to state how much did u bought???
Ok now had this phone for over a day and here are the bad things that I found about this phone:
- Not many free customizable themes on the phone. Guess you have to download them
- If you have numbers on your sim and copy them to the phone book, then you are always shown the phone and sim numbers in the phone book. In the nokia 6230 you could choose to only see sim/phone ones.
- Cannot move files in certain folders across to others easily. This can be done on your pc/laptop via the software but you can only upload to a limited number of folders
- You cannot set a preferred number when you have a contact who has multiple contact numbers. This is a pain in the ass!
Apart from these (which I have found so far) the phone is pretty cool and im quite happy with the buy.
i'd give the phone about 7.5/10 because the phone lacks some simple admin tasks on the phone.
