Ok now had this phone for over a day and here are the bad things that I found about this phone:
- Not many free customizable themes on the phone. Guess you have to download them
- If you have numbers on your sim and copy them to the phone book, then you are always shown the phone and sim numbers in the phone book. In the nokia 6230 you could choose to only see sim/phone ones.
- Cannot move files in certain folders across to others easily. This can be done on your pc/laptop via the software but you can only upload to a limited number of folders
- You cannot set a preferred number when you have a contact who has multiple contact numbers. This is a pain in the ass!
Apart from these (which I have found so far) the phone is pretty cool and im quite happy with the buy.
i'd give the phone about 7.5/10 because the phone lacks some simple admin tasks on the phone.
SOUND QUALITY- i own this samsung d600 and the sound quality is superb for mp3 music, either directly from the phone, from speakers or headphones. However directly from the phone the sound isnt that loud for teens to blast around the streets :).
the phone is great but does anyone no how to keep the clock on the screen when the phone is closed
$502.00 at Plemix now. Wait another month for the firmware to be fixed, and the price to come down some more, then buy it. Who knows, maybe by then a US carrier will start carrying it, and I can get a discount that way too.
Have just spent much of today playing with my new phone. D600. think its great so far but dont know if there is a way of having wall paper shown on idle screen all the time. It seems to go blank after about ten seconds. Can anyone help?
Great phone, cant wait to upgrade
though dont think it will work as gps, it does not use the symbian operating system
joba once u have written your message press options then SAVE & SEND.
hope this helps
I have just got the Samsung d600 today but i am having few problems. I am receiving texts ok and sending them ok but for some reason texts i am sending are not showing in my sent box. Does anyone know why? Am i doing something wrong?
I recently bought a D600. The best thing is definitly the screen. I's razor sharp and crisp clear. The headphone quality is OK. It cannot be compared to the iPod quality but it's better then one expect from a cell phone.
hiya my name is chloe and i got the d600 a couple of days ago but the problem is i do not know how to work my mp3 player how do you work it
about your question the D600 is suppose to be coming out in australia(melb) later this week but im not really sure of the prices or anything but yeah all i can tell you is that
Since my d600 my life has totally changed, ive made loads of new friends, girls keep buying me drinks... It really is a great phone, my life's got so much better!!
the samsung d600 is brill, it is a bit chunky, but it carries the size of the phone really well and makes up the size in features with an impressive 2.0 mega pixel and mp3. also the picture quality on the phone is outstanding. the phone was also a bargin by t-mobile they gave me the best deal possible with 200 mins and 100 text messages a month for an outstanding price of £33. also if i had taken the phone out on a 18 month contyract on relax 200 iwould of got 12 months at half price wow!!!!!, but an 18 month contract would not of suited me due to my work role. get down to t-mobile to get the best deal hurry!!!!!!!!!!
Re your query over the Samsung D600/Mac OS X compatibility issue, I have just bought a D600 and it can connect with OS X via Bluetooth no problem. However, it is not yet supported by iSync (although it is recognised by the program when doing a Bluetooth scan). Hopefully an Apple update will be issued to add this phone.
The supplied software tools are Windoze only, I’m afraid, but you can change the phone setup to use “Mass Storage” which will give you access to the memory (and a memory card if you get one) through the Finder.
All in all, I think it is a fantastic phone – the camera and video quality are tremendous for a mobile (obviously nowhere near that of a dedicated digicam!) and the sound is pretty good also. The screen is, in a word AWESOME! The only criticism I would level at it is the lack of voice recognition (no big deal for me) and the fact that the position of the camera lens on the back is such that it is very easy to get a fingerprint on it during normal use – just means you have to be aware and a bit careful.
Hope this helps you make a decision.
Mate, its deffo recommendable...its really a businness phone, good camera, nice and organised.
Its available on contract
Hi, I am having same problem as other users. When I connect to PC it simply doesn't detect my phone, anyone know why?
