Mine was delivered yesterday, I've not really used it properly as I'm waiting for my number port, but so far everything seems pretty good.

In answer to the previous posters questions.
1) It shows the video clip while the call is incoming, no sound.
2) Samsung "Standard Battery", 3.7V Li-ion, Model BST4389BE... according to mine. No idea how long it lasts as I've only had it switched on for 24 hours. Still showing full charge at the moment but it was mostly plugged into the USB yesterday.
3) They are reasonable quality, a bit blurry with fast movement and a few compression artifacts, but very viewable. Sound is reasonable too.
4) Not sure on total length but I've recorded one over 6.5 mins which came to 8.8MB
5) Bluetooth works fine phone-to-phone, I don't yet have a headset so I can't comment on that or voice recognition.

First of all i would like to thank Dr for the posted reviews and ask him some questions.
(1)How does video caller id work?(2)What is the battery type and how many days go?(3)How is the quality of the pictures viewed on TV?(4)Does video recording have any time restriction?(5)Does bluetooth work properly? As far as i know doesn't have voice recognition.Does it true?

If you compare D600 and SE K750i overally what score would you give both in appearence and features/quality?
Thank you in advance.

Dear Ruggs
There is Symbol in text writing for the D600
The way to do that is to press the hash key (#) for 4 seconds and then you will see a list of all the symbols coming up
Best Regards

Dear All
Good day
I am writing this in reply to 2 emails that i got (their initials are SK and RL) in addition to some new notes about the samsung D600 that i found out from using it.
1/ The D600 does NOT have an as=nswering machine
2/Piscel viewer means that you can put microsoft word, excel, power point, a web page "HTML" and pdf files on the phone and view them either on the phone itself OR on the TV when u connect the phone to the TV set, but you can not edit those files on the phone.
3/The main competitors to this phone would be the Sony Ericsson K7501 and the W800

4/The call quality in the d600 is great and the sound is higher than the D500 and compares to the K750i if not better.
5/The mp3 player is not as good as the one on the K750i because you can not run it in the background (just like the samsung D500) and also the sound quality in the SE K750i is louder amd clearer in my opinion
6/when you type a text the default is the T9 thus no need to change it every time u write a text.

Hope thoze answers were helpful
Now coming to my other observations regarding the phone:
1/you can recharge the phone also via the usb cable supplied with it in the box just like the SE K750i which is very useful and is a new addition from samsung, which was abscent in the samsung D500
2/the picture quality on 2.0 megapixel and superfine is very good, almost equal to the SEk750i, and it saves the pictures faster to its memory not like the k750i which needs more time to save it to its memory.
3/ the colours of the pictures taken with the D600 are much better and more saturated than the D500 which was gray not resembling natural colours, but as i said, i think the SEk750i camera is a slightly better, u would have to judge for yourself, it's just my personal opionion, to make it easier for you, i would give the SEk750i photos quality 95% while the D600 wopuld score around 92-93%.
4/ the pc suite provided with the phone on the cd is great and very easy to use and synchronises very well with microsoft outlook, including contacts, tasks and calender thus u won't need to copy your contacts from the sim card, just use the usb cable supplied and press sync and it will do the rest.
5/ The video quality and size is fantastic and the sound recorded with the video clip is great and very clear, and you will enjoy watching the video clips on your TV very much! trust me on that, and then you would like showing them to your friends and family on the TV screen.

So if yopu want a good super clear screen, great colours and super video recording go for the D600 especially if u like storing your word and excel (office) files on it to look them up on the TV, thus if u wanted to study or something, store them on the phone and take the phone with you with its AV cable and you'll enjoy that.

BUT if your after music and FM radio then the sony ericsson K750i or W800 is better in sound quality, i am not saying that the d600 is not good, i'm just saying that the SE K750i uis better.

By the way, i liked the new menu record call view where the d600 arranges all the call list to the same fields if the caller or missed call or the person u call to is the same person, or if that person gives u missed calls then it puts it in the same box which is quoite comfortable and there is not such a feature in the k750i or the D500

So the final choice is up to you, honestly saying, i do not regret at all buying this phone, it's fantastic and worth it. If samsung was to fix those points that i mentioned, then it would be the best phone available.
Bottom line :
It compares neck to neck with the sony ericsson K750i, i wish they would take the best of both phones and make one super fantastic phone with all the best features of both.
Best regards
Thank you for reading my review update
