I have been using it for 2 weeks now...and i can't believe how i was able to live without it! the only thing i miss is my X820 ability to view vidoes thru the TV out cable which would have been a plus if it existed in the D780.
can anyone post in the unlocking code for the games in this mobile phone.. especially midnight pool..
pls reply asap
hey i have the samsung D880 but it only can support 200 sms..is the d780 the same? or we can store more messages? what about the Opera mini, can we download it on it?
Hi, I have been using the D780 for a couple weeks now and so far I guess it has served me well except for that I am not well acquainted with the how samsung operates and find it a tad "long winded" when you want to do some functions ....like sending sms and choosing who to send to... it's like by the time I get it done, I would probably have send a couple more sms using my old phone (sony ericsson K618i) but I guess I will get used to it....
Anyway, I have 1 grouse or maybe not.... I find that the primary line has a stronger signal than the secondary.... I keep getting disruption (line dropped) and sometimes netting msg like "network rejected" when making calls from the secondary sim....
Anyone has experienced this? I will complain to the network provider to see if it is actually their problem and not the phone...
@JAMES: Man ... i don't know why you post without reading the manual ... you are out of the problem. I HAVE THE PHONE, I USE BOUTH SIM IN THE SAME TIME, IT WORKS PERFECT.
@MUSCARIN: About the EDGE function ... i don't know what are you talking about ... if you don't want EDGE don't use the phone as a modem ... EDGE is faster then GPRS ... this is the reason for buying the device ... is faster the other "no name-Made in China" or "dual sim Nokia N73 copy".
By the way it has a measured SAR (0.75) value ... no sar value for "no name".
I have it and i'm happy with it. Worth every cent.
so mainly the reason why others are asking if both work together is that, there are cellphone units with dual sim function but you can only use 1 sim at a time then put in code to switch to the other sim, some phones have simultaneous sim.... so understand why others are asking for clarifications sake...shiiiiish...
Is this phone D780 work in USA with tow SIM or Primary one only like D880?
rickyboy, 04 Oct 2008i just bought this d780 phone will someone help me how to use this phone..... when you say dua... moreOf course you can receive and make calls and receive and send SMS from both SIM cards at any time - thats the whole point of this phone. If you purchased the phone already, perhaps you should read the instruction manual. I dont understand why everyone is askng the same question again and again - yes, both SIMS work at the same time. Thats the whole point of this phone.
Anonymous, 05 Oct 2008when you are on the primary sim and when you recieve an sms on the second sim will you recieve... moreYes - you can assign different tones for both SMS and incoming calls for different sims. One sim rings and vibrates with ringtone A, the other sim rings and vibrates with ringtone B (same goes for SMS) - that way I know exactly whether its a 'work' call or a 'private' call :)
actually i use n70 wherien i get very good GPRS speed when use it as a modem to surf the net on laptop.,
i would like to know how is the GPRS speed n connectivity of D780 on both PC as well as CELL ?
when you are on the primary sim and when you recieve an sms on the second sim will you recieve an alert for this?
i just bought this d780 phone will someone help me how to use this phone..... when you say dual sim you can receive sms both sims? how about calls? can you manage to receive both calls? hoping for your kind response thanks for the help!!! guys and gals!!!
Anonymous, 03 Oct 2008can you use both sim for sms? i hope the dual sim is not limited to calls only.Yes you can - there seems to be some confusion about dual sim functionality. Heres how it works people - you assign 1 sim as the primary sim, and the other as secondary. By default, if you press the call button, sim 1 will dial. Likewise, when you send SMS, sim 1 sends it by default. However, just before you press send or call, you can press the dedicated sim button, and this will highlight SIM 2 as being the sim to make the call / send the text. Thats it. You hang up. The only time the phone needs to reboot is if you want to change which sim is Primary (i.e. the default sim). By rights you should not have to do this often. You simply assign the sim you use MOST as the primary sim, so its always the default one selected. On another note, fantastic phone!

Just received the phone in the mail the other day - fantastic. Easy to use and to learn, works well, great pre-loaded multimedia on it. Overall, great little package. Much, much better than those no-name brands that are all identical on the net these days (wont mention from where etc.). Once again, fantastic, attractive little unit. Perhaps the only one 'minor' issue is sound through the speaker. Although its very clear and loud, it seems very treble-ish, and sometimes hard for me to hear users on the other end ... but its minor, I am sure I will get used to it. Top phone!!
