Manny, 26 Jul 2008Why would you wish to use a dual sim phone rather than just using a single sim with two number... more...I live in Angola, and this phone can be very useful because i can have an Angolan phone number and an Italian one at the same time.
There is no possibility of having an Angolan and Italian phone number on the same sim!

please can any one tell how is it possible to choose the line that u want to send an sms from?,since i know how to choose the line that i want to call from but the sms didnt figure it out...thanks

when U make a call press the lateral button only AFTER U type the number, otherwise the phone will reboot, if U type first the number and press it U will be asked wich sim U want to use.
REMEMBER if U don.t want to reboot: dial the number first and just then press the sim select button !!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF U PRESS THE LATERAL SIM BUTTON BEFORE U DIAL THE NUMBER THE PHONE WILL REBOOT - first dial then press it.

Because US frequencies are 850 and 1900mhz. The secondary sim for both phones, (d780 and d880), as you said, are dual band only (900 and 1800mhz). Therefore, only one sim can be used at one time if you plan to use in the USA.

The battery of D780 does not last long. Well, it's good looking and nice, but battery is a main concern i am having.

a good phone with stylish look but announce such which has more than 2 megapixel camera and dual sim but it should use together both at atime thanks for such phone

Why would you wish to use a dual sim phone rather than just using a single sim with two numbers (ie a dual number sim)? Seems like there are too many limitations to bother.

Anonymous, 25 Jul 2008someday Nokia can make their own version of dual phone. the most user friendly phone in the world.Nokia don't want to make DUAL SIM because thy lose money !!! They make phones for profit, not FOR YOUR FUN !!! But Samsung makes money and are friendly to !!! Nokia have for sure the answer, but they are suckers !!!!!

yes i agree this is the worst dual phone i ever bought! have expectations but does not fit my needs. worst is the REBOOTING function. why should they (samsung) put this function inside the phone or found it the settings. WORST!!!

IMP*****************Technically, you don't have te reboot when you place a call or send SMS. All you have to do is just press the button (located on the left side upper part of the phone) until the desired sim is highlighted. Then press send button for SMS or press green button to call. Thats it!
