Try cut the "name file" to make it shortest, this because the phone can't read files with a looooooong loooooong file name ;-)

To: daisy
No, you can't change it. The only ones that can be changed is the ringing tone and the alarm tone. The rest only can be changed by the already pre-installed

Ringing tone: Yes (All you want)
Alarm tone: Yes (All you want)
Message tone: No (10 default + off)
Email tone: No (10 default + off)
Power tone: No (2 default + off)
Slide tone: No (4 default + off)
Calendar tone: No (4 default + off)

hi everyone. im planning to buy this cellphone. I have a question though. Can I change the message tone to something like a MP3 format like most nokia series 60 do?I know the ringing tone can be set to a true tone or mp3, how about the message tone?

1: Yes, you can rotate 180º and when is closed remain protected
2: No, it doesn't have a flash light
3: Well... maybe, but with a rotate lens, actualy there is no similar, but with 10% more maybe the D900

To: Ai
Additional that says Pao... Just plug it to the computer and transfer the music, to the phone with the Samsung PC Studio (CD included in the package) or to the memory with the USB Mass Storage...

@ shinryu
thanks it really helps a lot! :D

@ai and susun
transfering a video and a n mp3 file is just the same..

1. go to file manager
2. select music or video
3. select music or video again
4. your list of music or video appears
5. select option and choose "move to card"
6. check the selected file you want to transfer and select "move"
7. it's your choice to uncheck the "with caller id" items etc.
8. select move and choose what folder (music, video etc.)
9. select "move here"

hope this one helps :D

I am planning on buying this phone and looks great so far... reviews awesome
got a few questions though
1st Can you rotate the camera 180 so that when u close the phone it will remain protected ? (or u can only do so when it's slided open?)

2nd It doesn't have a flash right?

3rd is there a similar phone +/10% of the price that can bring me same satisfaction or better ? (it has 2 be with slide :D)

ty all in advance

It's the band in wich work your carrier, here in Mexico our carriers work with the bands 850/1900 i think in many parts of south america works with 900 and in others 1800...

Really you "don't see the use" of this bands, because is transparent for you, is the infraestructure that makes to work your phone in diferents parts of the world, and is thanks to your carrier.

Is for this that teorically a Quadband is better that one with dual band, but if you don't go out of your country, with a simply band is enough for you ;-)

But now the tendency is to make the world a world of UMTS=3G and in Japan the 4G ;-)

Well, more or less the explanation is there, if you want to go more deeper i'll recomend to you search more specialiced articles on the web, in the classics Yahoo or Google ;-)

Here in this post i can't explain "all" this means, but in the web there are many articles, check it out =D

just got this phone, it's pretty wicked so far. looks cool (had great comments bout it from friends) and has good features for cheap. Battery life is fine... i can play songs most of the day and take photos etc and just charge it that night, obviously if you arent using features every second of the day it'll be sweet to run a few days without charge. can't use custom message tones (i.e for receiving sms) but that's no biggie as i have it set to vibrate anyway. Anyway, sweet phone

Maybe your phone is defective.... i have a little more of 90% of the Sim card occupied and still ringing...., also i have always have good reception, and with me always too show caller ID... or my telephone is the only perfect or your telephone has some defects... go to the service center ;-)

To: Pao
Tha bands GSM are 850, 900, 1800, 1900
Quadband: The 4 of the 4 bands
Triband: Only 3 of 4 bands
Dualband: Only 2 of 4 bands
Oneband: Only 1 of 4 bands

To: (Blank Name)
With me the sound is excelent, why don't you try a loud MP3, Midi, AMR, sometimes happens that with my friends ;-) then i'll fix his/her sounds =)
