To turn off the sound of the keypad just go back to the background...the mainscreen of the mobile...and press down the arrows on the left of the mob. U should see "Key pad volume" ...keep pressing down untill it's mute :)

guyzz..by default, the autofocus option is disabled 'n' probably tatz y u dont get it..if u go to the camera settings --> Photo Settings and choose focus mode, u'll b able 2 find tat the default option is "Pan-focus"; whch means auto-focus is disabled...choose "Auto-focus" and thre u go.. :)..overall, the fone is gud..

Pros:-
- Great and quick UI
- 3MP camera whch is good enuf for a camera fone (tho not as good as k800i)
- great security features; esp the "Privacy" feature using whch, each 'n' everythin in the fone, including the call logs, contact list and messaging can be password protected!!!
- ability to view office documents
- excellent network performance and call quality; can beat a nokia and SE in tat case
- Great style and amazingly slim
- Great vibrator inspite of such slimness

Cons :
- Very poor LED flash; the led flashes in SE roxxx!!
- the fone's inability to store the pics taken wid ur camera directly into the memory card; the pics hav 2 b moved manually later on!! Now tatz a real pain!!
- Very slow wen transferrin files btw the fone's memory 'n' memory card and while browsing files on the memory card
- Samsung headsets suckk to the core; the MP3 player seems 2 b OK; but cannot b confirmed unless heard thru a good set of earfones
- Battery dies out very fast if the camera (esp wid flash on) and the mp3 player is used frequently..very fast as in, widin a few hours time (no exaggerations)...

EMILY:

Fido internet setups are available on the fido website. If not go to your nearest fido prodiver, they'll set it up for free.

Hi there, just baught the d900 phone, i like it it's a good phone...and like all phones has it's ups and downs...but overall it's a good phone.

I have a problem and i want a good answer because i havn't found anywere on the net good answers to this.

The headphones the D900 came with, i tried to put mp3s with high bass on it, which on other phones would sound verry well (the bass) but when i play them on it's headphones the bass is verry verry low.

Is it because of the Headphones or because of the mobile?...does anybody who baught the adaptor for the 3.5mm jack and put other headphones (not the ones that d900 come with) see any difference in bass?....

Other headphones on d900 have more bass then the original ones?

Ty for the answers in advance

About messages being saved to "drafts", mine seems to work fine as it does actually save to the drafts. Very happy with my D900, samsung has done it again : ).... My internet is not set up since i bought this phone unlocked, unbranded and not with my provider. By any chance, does anyone what the settings are for Fido here in Canada? And once i have these settings, is it easy to set up? I tried to do with another phone i used to have and never got it working... Anyways if there are any fido customers out there with this phone, that would be great!!

READ HERE!!!!!!! IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!! READ HERE!!!!!!! IMPORTANT!!!!!! This phone has no volume ajustment on the alarm! It activates at max volume giving you a heart attack each morning. Therefore you cannot use the alarm function. The alarm settings are so easy and the days of the alarm can be set. Very very very dissapointed in this. I cannot believe a phone of this caliber has such a blatant flaw. The other problem is the centre button which you would instinctively press for menu, opens WAP and connects to the internet. Everytime it happens, you have to wait a few seconds so it starts loading some website and then only can you cancel. How stupid are the designers to think that the main centre button should be used to connect to the internet??? These two issues are major and obvious flaws. Just shows you that no phone is perfect. Otherwise very good.

the samsgh is rubbish, i do not advise anyone that is looking for a phone with easy keys, and a good camera, it takes about 5 seconds to get a picture once captured the picture is smudged. maybe im fussy. i dont know. but i did have a k800i, why cant the k800i have a sliding phone instead!!!

iv got bad thumb pains from texting.

NOT SUITABLE IF YOU HAVE NAILS!!!!

I had always had the nokia range for years and years as I love the ease and quickness of use - my partner has samsung so I thought I'd give it a bash!

First I got the E900 as it was the latest and hated the touch-sensitive part of the phone SO! I then went and purchased the D900!

After having the phone 6 weeks half my screen went black (on the vertical), then the next day the whole screen!

My phone supplier got a new one to me and no probs as yet!

Pro's for me:
1Very sexy phone
2Clarity between it and my handsfree bluetooth
3Transfer of files via bluetooth very quick!
4Menu options very quick

Cons for me:
Really annoying when writing msgs as once you press cancel you have option to save to ddraft but then it doesnt store it! Really annoying!
Unable to save more than one number under a name

To be honest just a REALLY nice phone, shame samsung couldnt just do a little more with this model like the d900z and put some extra features in and make an almost perfect phone

Thought I'd try asking again....tried to email sm8 but said I needed full email address....can anyone answer...

Just got the phone..love it but cant find any voice tags...use it on the road and can only RECIEVE cals via my bluetooth headset.Does anyone know where they are....cant believe a phone this nice hasn't got the facility.Cant pull up on Mways to dial out??? So may have commited to £35x18mth contract on a phone that is of no use to me....

I am confused my heart was set on a Nokia and I decided on the E50 but my service provider says the D900 is the better phone. My requirements were synchronisation with diary on computer. Vibrating alert. Hands free speaker phone. Long bettery life. Bluetooth. Anything more that that is a bonus. Can anyone give me an opinion.
