To Anon

hmmmm well from my perspective and the functions i used for my Nokia N70.. it was the perfect fone.. seems like you can do so much more then the samsung D900. but the D900 has a great resolution screen

And u turn the Keypad tone off by pressing the volume buttons on the side

to One_Fly_boy,

Woh! are you serious? with what? comparing this phone to N70? You got to be joking me!cause N70 has a bad sound quality using external speaker and not only that it is also low in volume as far as my experience with N70 is concerned.

Pls do not talk to us with Nokias because thier new symbian software is only nice to hear but deteriorating in function because for instance, you cannot even insert a contact number or bookmarks when creating text messaging. It is much better with thier older phones.

reply to the last post:
yes, you can put separate passwords, one for the sms-icon, one for the settings-icon et cetera.

I'm planning to buy a D900, but I guess that I'm in need of some convincing. Today I've the SGH-480, which is way simplier but also way smaller. I'm afraid the D900 will be too big. What do you think about the size? Yes, it's the world's slimmest cellphone, but what about the two other dimensions..?

I'm chosing between the D900 and E900, anyone who can tell me what differs between those models? I've heard that D's camera is a lot better than E's, but that's also all I know. What about the UI, do the models have the same or is the D-UI newer?

That's the only bad thing I can come up with regarding Samsung; the UI. Not always very pedagogic...

Cheers //B

ow and one more thing if youv'e got carried away and youve mest with settings and buggered it up so you cant here it properly

The full reset code is *2767*3855#. Just follow the on-screen instructions. After the reset has taken affect, you must key *#638738# and set your country of origin. That's it. Your D900 will be as it was fresh out of the box. But bear this in mind: a full reset will delete all photos, videos, text messages (in phone memory) and contacts (in phone memory). So backup anything important before you reset!

Hi ive not so long ago found this out myself but a problem with samsung d900 is the sound its far too low so this is what you do:

type *#8999*8378# (believe me this does work)it just takes a few times to try

Now click on h/w test
then audio settings
now scroll down too rx pga and change the number too 255

Then scroll down once more so your highliting rx vol, click on it and change
1: to 50
2: to 100
3: to 175
4: to 210
5: to 255
and thats it have fun.

Jeremy, i had the same problem as you, if you have a card reader, put the memory card in there, then go on my computer, right click the icon and format the card.
if you dont have a card reader keep on offing and oning the phone, take out the battery and sim card then it should work. if it still isnt working send me an email.
