Yes, music can be played in background. You can also play Java games and listen music in the same time. When you receive a phonecall, after you finish talking, music will resume playing. Overall a very well made phone, very light and thin, amazing camera with autofocus!! Battery life is between 2-3 days intensive use and max 4 days normal use.
The best phone I owned so far.
can anybody tell me if this phone can multitask? like playin music in the background while games or things like that.
>>>>Second ? is the only way to get data to the card with a standalone usb card reader?>>
Answer, Yes, using the USB cable/charger that comes with the handset. But first you must go to the settings......USB settings in phone and choose MASS STORAGE. Its slower than a USB card reader and I chooose to use the card reader to load with my D600.
The more I read about the D900 the more I think I will wait until the next model from Samsung. I also HATE the idea of not being able to save to the TF card. Stupid...and another function they should put in is choosing landscape mode for viewing mpg's or photos.
Adding wifi might also be nice.
D900 and transflash: Trying to figure this out. Is it best to think of the microSD as offline storage? That's to say it is not directly available to the phone; any data that is on it (microsd) needs to be moved to the phone's builtin memory to be available to the phone's features?
Second ? is the only way to get data to the card with a standalone usb card reader?
Can anybody tell me what's the difference after changing the setting of *#8999*8378# ???? I tried many, many times but don't see any increase of Vol.???
D900 is wonderfull cellular phone! Great! So thin 12-13mm and not heavy 90gr.
E900 is better by zoom and slide-show-view of photos on microSD and downloaded images, D900 can't this, like a D600.
But touch pad by E900 is something very bad and unusefull. It make crasy.
camera 3,15Mpx...Problem with sharpness of panorama photos. Auto focus photos and macro-photos are very very good but panorama photos make D600 much better--sharpness is problem and night photos are bad.
Can somebody tell how to have more themes? I have only one in my phone.
Does any one know how to increase the ring volume my nokia was very loud and i have the kaken off the plastic .!!!!
Thanks Sush, don't like that you can't see you have recd a text though, and not too keen on the menus, but oh well!
D900 is very good phone. I have one already 1month, Battery life is 3-4 days + over nights but you must have a display brightness 1or2 of 5. For better hearing press *#8999*8378# then go to H/W test, audio settings, normal, Rx vol. level1=20, level2=40, level3=70, level4=120, level5=180. I think you will bee very satisfied than with your beautifull D900. I am. Bye, Croatian Samsung fan.
Can anyone help? Is it possible to increase the length of time the phone rings for an incoming call before the phone goes to voicemail. If so can someone tell me how...thanks.
at amy,the second lota of numbers(after*) are displayed informs 0f------,so follow the code . For the clock press and hold the botton on the left side for few second and you will see the clock for few second. it has been done like that to increase battery time
Hi, I have just bought the D900 and have a couple of questions, Sush I have tried to type in that code to remove the GPRS but I am unable to type it in full as after the 7 I get lots of ----. Also when I had the D500 you could always see the clock without having to press anything and I could see when I had a text, how do I get that?
Hi can anyone help, I'm trying to enable predictive text on my phone but can't figure out how to do it?!

Great phone with one problem; when sync MS Outlook's calendar recurring appointment don't make it to the phone. I'm using ver. 3.01 of PC Studio. All standalone appointments are sync'ed to the phone. Any ideas
Ooh, one other thing, anyone know where I can get some more themes for this model? Kinda bored of Big Ben now!!
I've had the D900 for five days, and was seriously considering returning it back for the volume before I realised what a difference a protective screen cover makes!! Besides that, does anyone know how to switch the GPRS mode off?? It's been on ever since I got it; can't seem to find it under applications...
