Sorted my key pad problem.
As for the ringing vibe... It rings once a bit quieter whilst vibrating... then the next ring is loud as fook! lol
Thanks Dansta! it will not vibrate and ring softly then gradually becomes louder right?
Has anyone tested the mp3 playback quality?
hi,anyone know how many frame per seconds(fps) is the video recording? how is the quality?
thanks in advanced
could we record videos directly to the memory card, without using the phones memory card?? could anybody who is using it tell me?
And Ramzez i completely agree. Symbian phones are good for business, but when you use it for 'leisure' people laugh at you. Women turn their noses up in disgust, before demanding you f*ck off and go find some 40 year old virgin who goes to "adult" nights at the Games Workshop.
Thats what put me off the N73 (my last before i got the D900 was the clumsy 6680).
I reckon in another year, i will be able to safely trade my D900 in for an equally cool Nokia Symbian phone, cos by that time, i think they might have 'cracked' it: a functional phone that isnt a brick and is actually cool to own...
Hey nerds, im back. In fact, i think i might have caught some kind of viral nerd disease... beacause im "back".
YES you can view pictures in full screen.
Yeh, that pissed me off too until i realised to turn off the gay-ass keypad tones: look at the left side of your phone.
See that silver button? Press the lower section and it will reduced the geek-tones to null! Arent i useful??
I've also slammed a micro SD card into mine for a further 128mb of memory ready for some photos - which i'll probably never take. But well, im young and you never know...
More nerd is bursting out of me: i couldnt beleive how small a micro SD card is. Its tiny. Like small finger nail big. Its dwarfed by a thumbnail, dwarfed.
Oh and to n$eQ
Thank you sir for your help! That thing you said about the Sammy software is f*ckin A-plus stuff cos it means i can make the ringtones louder. Thanks. For that, you are exempt from my geek bashing!
pYUL - I have 4 phones with Symbian OS, and trust me it is good for business life when you need applications in C++, but for every day and going out. Sorry guys, you are not there just yet-just yet.
Hi, im looking to purchase this phone, but want to know one question, does the d900 allow you to view pictures in fullscreen ?
in response to Xp, no! theyve finally sorted that problem. it can ring AND vibrate at the same time!!!
Phone is great, got mine on O2 today, was worried about the ring tone levels because i couldnt hear them on the p300 and sent it back, but i dont know what people are on about... this ones plenty loud.
only thing is... and i dont know if this is an o2 or theme thing, but i cant turn the bloody keypad tones off. i go to the option in the menu and its not highlighted... as in, i cant select it! grrrr its getting on my tits.
I've been a D500 and a D600 owner, and am thinking about the D900. Almost all my questions about this model have been answered by you all except about the sliding feature. Anyone know if the D900 slider is semi-automatic? Also, does this phone have the "plastic toy" look? Thanks much for your help...
Can you change you the Message tone on this handset to a personalised 1, Thats the only thing that is very irritating about this phone and all the other Samsungs
Does D900 has the same issue as previous models for which vibrate + ringing is not possible?
You can play with the system settings to raise the earpiece volume (amongst other things).
type *#8999*8378# and you will get into the system software settings. Go to H/w and Normal, then change the rx settings to 250, and the rx level (lower down) to 150 on level 5. That should make the earpiece plenty loud! Did for me....
Check out Howardforums for a more detailed explanation.
Well just got my D900. Looks and works great. The only thing I don't like is the volume of the speaker I was expecting a little more. But over all for the 3 hours I have used it before the battery died it's a nice looking phone.
Bought one today, but my problem is that none of the ringtones are loud enough. They are the quietest I've ever heard. You've no chance of hearing it ring in, say a car.
I called Samsung, they agree and suggest I try downloading some others rather than use the default tones.
I'm pissed off because I love it otherwise. I've a feeling I'll end up taking it back and go for yet another Nokia.
I can't believe no one else has noticed this.
