What do you guys feel about the size of the phone. It's thin thats great but do you guys find that its a bit tall?
The MAXIMUM video resolution is 352 x 288 my friend.
You just have to change the video recording settings to "recording mode: NORMAL" and it lets you change it from 176 x 144 to max!!!!!!!!!
Hope this helps my misinformed friend...
I think D600 stil remains the king. D900 is more thin and has a better camera (but not that good compairing with other 3mpx cameras). It's incredible..It have been 1 year since it's release..and D600 still remains the king!
Sorry 4 my bad english.
Is it possible to take pictures only in portrait? Or can u select landscape mode like SE K800i?
I almost forgot, only the se K800 has a inferior 174*220 QCIF video recording and playback, two (2) step below the video/playback recording standard of SAMSUNG PHONES.
You are a scam, sorry but nobody believes you. D900 definetly has a video recordig in CIF resolution.
Well you cannot put a best phone down. This is a powerful competitor to se K800 and the N series.
Do you know, that this phone do not shoot video at CIF resolution? Its only 176/144!!!
What a f**k???Even D600 makes better shootage!!!And two other Ultra Edition phones too. Sourse: mforum.ru
Anybody who as got the D900 please could you let me know if you can see the images on the full screen in the file manager as this was the only downside of the D600,you buy a camera mobile to view images taken but Samsung never seem to put a feature on there mobiles to see them on the full screen instead of connecting to your T.V instead, let us know before i get the D900 or not
can u assign any tone you want to the msg tone or is it only the standard ones that come with the phone like most samsungs
I have a few concerns here:
What about the quality of the music player and earphones, can it replace an mp3 player for everyday usage ?
And also, do you know how long the battery lasts when using the phone to play music ?
And in general, how good is the battery life in actual usage conditions ?
One last thing, it would be great if you guys who have the phone posted some pics/videos taken with it.
Tnx in advance
It is a very good phone, and as mentioned, i've now finally sussed the the hash key as you said (txting)!
Ringtones are of a good audible level. The alarm tones, bar one, arent very loud. However, there is one of the 5 alarm tones to choose from that seriously busts your ear drum in half.
And yes it takes micro SD - not mini - and one isnt supplied. I've just searched the net and bought one - cheapest was in fact on ebay. Its a good brand too and was only £8 incl del for a 128mb card.
Build quality good and yes, it is light and slim so very pocket friendly, which is more than what can be said for a horrible, obese Nokia. The f*ckin whales of the mobile world, nokias designers are still stuck in the 80s...
Also, FONEFANATIK, try holding down the hash (#) key, this brings up the punctuation marks on my D600, should be same on D900.
nice review fonefanatic, but i dont even have one of these and i know it takes MicroSD, not miniSD. The texting on samsung, just like any non-Nokia takes a bit of getting used to, but after a few goes it comes naturally. I dunno if i want this to be my next phone coz i want sat-nav, but its probably perfect. My D500 and D600 never let me down, and this new one will do exactly what it says oon the tin, wont break and wont weigh you down
*edit* you can definately DOWNLOAD new games, so i assume you could probably download new java apps as well.
However, im still not sure if you can upload (via bluetooth, USB, etc) java apps/games, should you want to..
Note i'm not 100% if you CANT install java apps and games - for all i know you might be able to, its just i dont know how to do it!!
Remember i've literally had the phone only for about 3 hours now, so i'm still only just getting to grips with it..
Hi its me again.
OK, i'm gonna have to take some of what i've said back.
the problem about text messaging and special characters no longer exists: You simply hold down the space key and a very 'intuitive' menu appears where you can easily and quickly choose a special character. So problem solved.
In terms of installing new Java apps, im not sure if you can. There is nothing in the manual about it, and i have installed the PC software, and when it loads up there is nothing that says you can install any java apps.
It looks as though you can only shove music files and photos, etc onto your memory card - you cant install anything.
The phone is growing on me, its very nice and to go from Symbian to this actually isnt too great a thing; the software included on the phone is good and well thought out, even if you cant install apps on it.
In saying that, if you do want to install apps on your phone, then you shouldnt even be considering phones like this that dont have Symbian/Win mobile, etc.
I hope this helps.
Completing: It´s possible to install java applications and games in this phone?????
Thanks for the review fanatic! But what about Java Games and another applications???
