Thanks "No Name" for your reply regarding setup of mp3 tones for incoming messages!
Looks like no-one here has tried internet with pc before using this mobile. I am quite at the edge of buying a slider within this weekend. but unfortunately no replys to Battery life & ringer sound compared to N5300. Thanks all....
No, you cant set ringtones or mp3's as message tones with this phone. There is five different tones just for messages and thats it.
No, there isnt really any need to charge it for 6 hours the first time but they say it should be done to get the battery working better but i have never done this to any of my phones and i havent noticed any difference.
No, the phone locks automatically when you slide it down. I dont think there is an option to change it.
i just bought this phone but i was able to charge it for 6 hours for the initial charging.. i just charge the phone for 2 hours because it was full already.. is it necessary to charge this phone for 6 hours for the first time? pls. reply... thanks!!

I am quite confused buying a slider between N5300 and this mobile! So please help me guyz n gals. To those who own this mobile or used it:
1) What is the average life for E250’s battery?
2) Is the ringer sound loud as N5300?
3) How is music volume and quality compared to N5300 Music player?
4) Can this mobile support as a PC Modem like N5300 for using the Internet (GPRS)?
5) Lastly, can I set mp3 tones for calls and smses?
Thank you in advance for your assistance….
I am getting this phone for christmas if it plays MP3 ringtones for messages, Please tell me if it does because i think it is an awesome phone.
Thanks C :-)
The phone locks when you close it.
Yes, you can use mp3 as ringtones (but that mp3 are copied in the phone, and the phone as about 6 MB, soo...).
Mine uses a 1GB card without problems.
Buuuut... you cannot configure tones for the messages and have to choose between three prefixed.
Another fault is that the battery gets dry very quickly. Another is that you cannot hide the mp3 player. Another is that there are only two themes you can use to display. Another is that it uses an ultraslim USB conector. ¿Why did I buy this phone?
thinking of buying the phone, cannot find out how you can avoid accidently pressing the buttons on the front and accidently calling someone! - is there an automatic kepad lock on it?
Can i use Mp3 for MESSAGE Ringtone(Customization)???????

a user nova asked me for tips on SAMSUNG J600 ONLY FOR SAMSUNG J600
here is the process to install the java files or games on it
1. Transfer the .jad and .jar files to the phones memory to the 'Other Files' folder.
You can transfer the files from Samsung PC Studio's 'Phone Explorer', or just transfer it straight to the memory card and move it to 'Other Files' from the phone's menu.
If you don't have a .jad file, you can download 'Jad Maker' (google) and make a new one.
2. Exit all menus and type in this code: *#9998*4678255#.
You should now get a 'Activated' message. Java install is enabled.
3. Go to the 'Other Files' folder and select the .jad file (should be 1kb).
Press 'Options' (left touch key) and you should get a 'Do you want to install' question.
Press 'Yes' to install.
4. To deactivate Java install, simply type the same code again.
You should now get a 'Deactivated' message.
