Thank you for your email regarding your mobile.
You can connect the phone by a data cable or infra red to a PC with EasyGPRS installed. The cable has to be a Samsung, model number PCB093LBE but infra red should work regardless of the manufacturer. The accessories can be purchased from CPC on 0870 120 2530.
The software can be downloaded free of charge:
Go to www.samsung.com
Click on the download center.
Enter V200 as the model number
Click on Software Tab
Click on EasyGPRS ver2.1.8.
Once the software is installed on your PC please follow these instructions to get the connection working:
1. Activate infra red on your phone and align phone with infra red port on PC. ( or connect the cable.)
2. Start the software and wait for it to connect.
If it displays the model of your phone to the left of the date then the connection is made.
If it says OFFLINE then there is no connection. To resolve this:
1. Click on FILE and SETUP.
2. Change the COM PORT setting to IRDA for infra red or the com port that the cable is connected to.
3. Click OK
Should then make the connection and display your phonebook contents.
To transfer photos from a camera phone to the PC click on TOOL and FILE MANAGER. This brings up a window that has the mobile on the top half, PC on the bottom half and an up and down arrow in the middle. Specify the file to transfer and the location where it is going to and click on the relevant arrow.
I hope this information proves useful, if it does not work then there is an issue with the phone or the PC. You will need to try the phone on another PC to determine where the fault lies. to Mr. Woodfinden:
I think this phone only can receive pics n ringtone via ir port using pc only. yes itz frustrating for not being able to receive 'em fr other handphones but other than this i think this phone is nice...
Unable to send or recieve pictures by infrared with this phone, dont know why, but very dissappointed
hey i was wondering if u can playback the videos? and is it really gd this phone coz i really want a new phone and have been waiting ! please reply to this on the websitexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
i luv this phone sooooooooooo much.......... its damn pretty!!!! But does this phone support chinese characters? n approximately how many sms and/or images can i save?
Good picture quality. External screen makes a lot of sense, unlike Nokia where U have to retake your own picture several times b'cos ur face couldn't fit within the frame. Its good to see rivals give Nokia a run for their money.
i was wondering if i can use infrared to tranfer pics and tones etc. from pc to phone. is there any software tht i can download on my pc eg. noia has the pc suite???
