before it was relesed it was 1.3 mp... now it's only 1 mp... and it does not have the built-in handsfree.... but when i look at www.no-air-time.com it says that it's still 1.3mp and that there is the built0in handsfree...
what are the right functions of the samsung e720?
thanks
Alan
When using MP3 files as your ring tone you can have the following settings.
1. Just the melody or MP3 file
2. Just vibrate with no sound
3. Vibration and THEN melody or MP3 file
So the answer to your question is that it won't vibrate and play melody at the same time. I know it seems stupid as I have a Nokia 7260 aswell and have been using Nokia's for 7 years and find some of the Samsung features are not quite up to a Nokia but overall it's a good phone.
this phone has evrything! except an expansion slot T_T, which is the only drawback i say. if anyone here has the fone and is also really into music, can u tell me if 90mb is enuf to survive? :P
This phone is mad nice i just got it and it has everything. All my friends are hating on me cause i got this phone and there contract doesnt end soon they are like little idiots and want this Phone. I should tell you guys this phone is the best phone since the e715 and that the video quality is off the hook and the camra has good grapics and captures mad nicly and that the sound are loud. Songs are short though like 1 min each
Clare,
Hi, can you confirm that the phone can ring and vibrate at the same time using MP3 tones?
Many thanks ya Clare.

Alan
how much does the samsung e720 cost OUTRIGHT on NO plan in USA money or in Euros?
Hayley
Yes you can put the phone on silent without it ringing or vibrating. Under Settings and the Sound Settings, click Quiet Mode and the you have the option to choose Vibrate or Mute, select mute. To activate quiet mode press and hold the # key
thinkin of geting this phone just wondering can you put it on silent with no vibrate or sound
What is O2??
How do you order them???or which online site you can buy them?
Thanks
To enraged person:
If you have nothing to add to the oppions, just don't reply. Don't you have any trackingnumber from DHL? If not, contact O² and ask them if it is possible to give it to you.
damnit...i ordered the phone on monday from O2...and i'm still waiting!!!! The said DHL would send it today...but wasted the whole day waiting...nearly 5pm now!!! and yes...this has very little relevance to the phone, but i'm bored and going crazy from impatience.
hello all.can anyone tell me what the recording FPS is??nokia 6230i records videos at 15FPS.anyone any ideas about this fone??
thanx
With regard to the O2 t9 issue raised, this seems to be unique to O2 and i believe this is something they have requested to set like this on the handset as the default setting. There is no way to change this setting.
To jason:
You can connect your E720 with BlueTooth or USB to your pc and upload your songs. It can all be found in the manual. I'm not gonna look it through for you, that can be done by yourself.

Thanks for your tips. Gradually getting used to the phone now after using it a bit last night. Don't have a timer setting for the external display but never mind, its only a minor thing.
In regards to comaparing Vodafone and O2, I think there is a big difference. I have been with O2 now for just over a year after being with Vodafone for 6 years and I have been utterly impressed with O2 service. I was spending £100 with Vodafone as I text alot and their text bundles were not that good. With O2, I now spend a maximum of £40 and thats mainly as I ring internationally. It is very rare I go over my 500 free text messages. O2 online email customer service is outstanding and very very quick. I ordered both my phones with O2 and they were delivered 2 days after I ordered them which I think is outstanding. Would recommend O2 to anyone.
Hope this is of some help
1 - yes you do, it's a bit annoying. I've got a e710 at the moment and it just comes 2nd nature to me now to press the input button 3 times before starting each button.
2 - in the "external LCD" settings in display settings there should be a time. For me it's a default of 15 seconds. If not sure try popping into your local O2 branch if you're nearby, if there as helpful as Vodafone then they should know how to sort it.
I'm hoping to change to O2 for this phone next week mainly because they're much cheaper. Is the service any good though and can anyone compare the 2 networks? Thanks.
