To those of you in the UK that are on Virgin Mobile, I picked this phone up for £75. That's because the phone has been reduced to £99.99 plus virgin gave me £20 red rewards (so check your accounts people) and £5 off because I already had a virgin sim card. On top of that you get a £70 voucher which translates to 200 minutes to spend on cross network calls by the 31st of October.
The best bit is that I found out that the phone is unlocked - I put my O2 sim in and to my suprise it worked!
I found that the quickest way to hide the music player while doing other things is to hit the cancel key. This will take you straight to the home screen of the phone. From there you can access the menu etc.
To find the sent date and time of a message go into your sent box
1.Highlight the message you want
3. Go to details and press select
4. Scroll down to Date and you will see the date and time the message was sent.
Quite a few steps to go through for some people but the sent date and time is there in this phone.
The problem regarding sent message date and time is hurts me, samsung must resolve this.Another prob is when i turn on message privacy no outgoing calls are possible other than default no. This is why anybody does not purchase samsung 2nd time. And samsung cust. Care favourite words is 'parts are not available'.

hi....First thing attracted is Looks...Everything about this cell is great...but only thing bothers is battery Backup.
I am a new user of this phone, very good if compared with others in the same cost category.
Music= excellent with earplug without which it is Ok, still likable.
camera....that is the one I like the most, not the camcorder although, as light create a bit of prob.
Must buy for....lover of style with a sense of budget too........
Problem.....is however..with touch screen soft keys.....don't know if lamination is required to keep the screen ever shining....or it is already there..any one know please advice.........
i wud suggest u go for this phone.... a gr8 phone in this budget...
1.camera - the camera is fantastic... the best it can be in 2MP...
2.music player(quality, loudness) - music and fm quality is good... the volume is ok, but not very loud
3.slide mechanism - the slide mechanism is also gr8...
4.processing speed - proc speed is ok...
5.key pad - the keypad is a bit of problem... at least for me, those touch sensitive keys r very inconvenient... hope i'll get used 2 it soon
6.any comment - dunno surely as i have recently bought it and as its new the ph has been used too much... but battery life is not xtraordinary.... if u're used to batteries lasting for days, then u'll be disappointed...
@rsta if you check the sent message it does give time and date of sent message....
Does this phone have custom slide tones that you can set when you open/close it? Also does it have a lock keypad feature?
As far as I know this phone doesn't support themes. It has only changeable wallpapers!
The Best Birthday gift I have ever received, this phone tops all other phone's in features, style & price. Very Very chic - I recommend this phone!!!
