R - the sim card only has the capacity to save 20 text messages, after the sim is full, it should automatically start saving messages from on the phone memory.
I have always been an avid nokia fan but now am considering getting a samsung E900.. Was wondering if there would be like major change for nokia user like me?
Also, I heard that when you compose a new message and if you get an incoming call, the message would automatically be deleted and you have to retype your msg again.. True??
Thanks fish. It really helped a lot pal. One more question tough, if i chose to "reply" an sms instead of writing a fresh one, do i still have to choose from the list of reciepient or is that step skipped?
this phone is top class. it has everything go to http://www.newmobile.nl/eur/en/videos.php?phone_id=18ac0c1. please tell me what you think just leave a message above. thanks
just got my e900,
beside the battery bar, theres like a status icon kinda thing (either vibrate, silent, ring, etc) and then to the left of that icon, there is a "1."
i was wondering what th "1." actually is, and i cant find it ni the manual.
is there a quicker way to change profiles (ie. silent mode, vibrate mode, ring mode, vib and ring mode), i mean do u have to change it in the settings > sound settings > incoming call, everytime i want to change the modes?
is there a way to stop the vibrating everytime u switch from normal mode to silent mode by holding the # key?
Just got this phone two days ago... I fell deeply in lurve with it... lurve the style n the unique touch pad... I think it's alrite though lotx pple say it's too sensitive... When IT IS suppose to touch sensitive, yet pple complain too sensitive... If it doesnt respond to ur touch, pple wan to complain it's not sensitive... Think some pple are too hard to please.. Aniwae i think there are some flaws... eg. for msg tone, there's no vibration... But no big deal.. I accept all the goodness together with e tiny weeny flaws.. =)
to Curious... Actually there isnt any confirmation msg... 1st as usually with other phones, u have to choose options to send. Then they will bring u to the recipients page.. U can press options to choose recipient from phonebook or watever.. Then u chose the recipient, u juz press one more time to send the msg... To mi, it's okie... Mayb it might be a few more steps compare to other phone... But i'm fine with tat.. =) hope it helps...
does this phone really take a long time to connect when dialing someone?a lot of ppl seem to be having this prob. any users facing this prob?if there is..how long is long?
I dropped the phone the day after I got it on the pavement and there's not a scratch on it so.. no, it isn't as fragile as people seem to believe.
I have a problem with my E900. Whenever I try to make a call or sending SMS, it takes ages to get connected. Sometimes the signal bars will go to nil and come back up again. When I say slow, it's like taking a whole minute or more to get a ringing tone. Has anyone experienced this before?
hi...i wanna buy his phone soon but i'm worried bout it if i drop it.is the phone fragile...and easily scratched?anyone who has got any experience?pls do tell..thanks alot
had this phone for over a month, very smart, very stylish, looks great but just doesnt perform great, it has the worst mp3 player around, the headset is poor and the sound is terrible the equalizer has only 4 settings, normal, rock, jazz or classical(shocking), the key pad is fine when you get used to it, vivid txt mode is excellent, and it packs lots of features for a small phone, i use this for going out at night and use my W800i for the mp3 player, playing games is quite hard if you want to do any good, for looks you cant beat this phone, as for performance it is poor, pay the price for style? EVERYTIME to look good !!!!! Too busy looking good
I read trough the comments and foudn that the major disadvantage is actually the confirmation msg that we need to settle in order to send an sms.
So, to all E-900 lovers can i know in detail what are the confirmation questions they ask, and what button toshould be pressed to "confirm" it? hopefully it is not something like a "yes, no, yes". And after using for sometime, is it bearable?
I luuuuurv this phone!!!!!
Easy to use & stylish too.
Can anyone tell me how to save a tone that has been sent to me. I want to use it as a incoming message alert??????????
to save SMS from sim to phone: go to your inbox, select the message, touch 'options' and number 4 should be 'Move to phone'
its funny, ppl that complain about the touch sensitive feature, can't type for crap. event the keyboard's too much for their clumsy hands.
i juz got this phone one week ago..and im really impressed with it..the camera is really very clear..i also like the sms setting where u can view ur receiving sms in vivid mode n some cute emotions n clip arts...and of course...the touch pad..it is very unique very special...i didnt get used to it but now i can use it well..=) even when u are typing ur sms n accidentally touch the exit button it will ask whether u wanna save in draft or not..u will not juz lose ur sms like that.. n it can has external memory card i can save alot of photos..songs..n video clips.. lastly..the phone is so so stylish n slim..=) this fon has almost everything that i am looking for in a phone...i love samsung phones.. =)
im planning to buy this phone, what can you guys say about this phone?can i use true tones, wav tones & mp3 music tones in my ringtones set up & message alert tones setup?can i put up to 2gb of memory?
hahah you guys really dont know how to get used to the buttons. thats funny. they work fine.
The phone only arrived yesterday, and I'm already thinking about selling it on ebay. The manual seems to have been written with the aim of telling you nothing that isn't obvious, however the help file in the 'pc studio' software that comes with it beats the phone manual at its own game - it is ludicrously unhelpful. The phone will accept 'music' and 'sounds' from your pc - does it tell you anywhere which formats are which? It does not, it just refuses to upload. Then when you finally work out how to use the sound editor to save a song in a different format, and upload it to the phone - but not in the folder you want (that would be too easy) to a different folder, then transfer it on the phone handset (does the manual say anything whatsoever about folders? Of course not) after all that when you try to set the sound for an alarm - you get a smug message 'Not allowed'.
It doesn't look like it will show the time in standby, either.
Why have Samsung wasted their time making the phone edit images when anyone who cares already has such software on their pc, and not bothered with things it might be quite useful for a phone to do?
