WHAT? no vib and ring at same time?...is that a problem with just certain peoples phones or is it normaly like that? there is speaker phone option for this phone right? i dont see why they would...kinda downgrade their phone features they should have all that because even the older models do.
After owning a trusty Samsung E720 for a year - i decided i would like to carry on using a samsung when my phone needed upgrdading. I decided to go for the E780 (think Moto Rzr) and i was pretty impressed... Ring and vibrate at the same time - sleek looks and everything i needed. Unfortunatly the screen cracked and i had to claim via my insurance company - they said the closest thing they had was the E900... i thought yeah i'll give it a go.
This phone is being sent back - sure it looks the business - but it doesnt live up to its name... a lot of the software is exactly the same, if not worse than my E720.. its like an E720 but tarted up!!!! For example ring and vibrate cannot be used at the same time - also "skins" are only in black and white. I was expecting this phone to be a lot more than it was - i shall be getting o2 to send back my E780 and will be glad to see the back of this phone..
Great for a first time Samsung user - but dont expect to be thrilled if you already have one!!!
Has anyone tried to connect a bluetooth headset to this phone? to see if you can listen to the MP3 player from that?
E900's design is so great. and speaker tone & melody + mp3 audio's quality are very clear & nice than any other phones. I recommand you^^
extra point to below, the speaker is so tinny and sharp, no sign of any bass and unable to customise sound that makes a difference. The sound literally sharpens your eardrum. Considering exchanging the handset.
Good Points: Nice design, features exactly same as d500/d600 (ONLY HAD IT A DAY AND IM TOTALLY FAMILIAR WITH IT) Nice touch sensitive buttons, good camera, very lightweight.
Bad Points: Appalling speaker, Unable to customise message alert, awful tones, cant customise caller video if bluetoothed from d600 handset. Dirty grey background on main menu and only able to display 75% of downloaded photos set as wallpaper. All in all the d600 was the best phone ive ever had and although the e900 looks better, in my opinion this is not as good.
the speaker is pretty good, its loud. the battery life is not so great. if your one of hte people who can't live without talking on the phone all day long, then i would advice you to take the batter charger with you. overall its a great and reliable phone.
Hey, i was looking at the LG Choc. but cuz' of its numerous downsides, i am now looking at this.. BUT the SE k800i has also gotten to me has ne one compared k800i to this??
Just upgraded today to a Samsung E900. Great phone but camera v unreliable. Purple/green interference/distortion lines across the whole of the screen 50% of the time when in picture/mode. Anyone else experienced the same problem?
To people who have used d600 and currently owning this the e900...is the video quality on par with the d600?
heey im jus wondering...if the loud speaker for the music good...if its loud enough...also...do u have to have samsng headphones or normal one will do?!?...also ppl are tlkin about the messgae tones....u can jus have it on vibrate rite?!...also u can use your music mp3 tunes as a ringtone rite?!....anyways lemme know asap....thx....cz im decidin between this and the lg choc!
Sorry, would also be good to find out about the battery, hate having to charge up my Nokia every other day!
I am looking for opinions about this fone.Been a Nokia man for 7years now but i need a change. Is this worthwhile?Bugs:- has anyone mastered the predictive text bug people are on about? And the message tones? And finally, can you plug normal headphones in?It would be great to get a definative answer please? Thanks
How do you change the words you are texting when using predictive text?
hey does any 1 no if u can put a code on to prevent people looking at ur msgs ant pucs and stuff the way u can with the samsung d600?
does anyone know if this phone slides smoothly and has the same sliding action as the d500?
i have had the lg chocolate for a week it is a fantastic looking phone and well built the touch sensitive keys are easy to use and the menu system easy to get around. a memory card slot would be good but it holds around 55 mp3 full songs. i am now looking to buy the e900 for my partner as she prefers samsung so i will see what thats like when it arrive.... if it is better than my lg im sure i could persuade her to swap hahaha. my advice to anyone who cant decide between the e900 and the lg choco is to go into a shop and try them both out its really about personal preference and how much music you want to hold in the phone x
