Hi I have the D600 and am looking to upgrade to either the E900 or the D900, does anyone know the main differences between them as I can't decide???? Please Help Me I Am Confused!!
hi anyone know if the E900 can save image file like jpg on to the momory card tks")
Got this phone for a couple of months and its amazing only that the touchbuttons are a little to sensitive sometimes.
I've had my E900 for about 4 months now and so I thought it was time to write my thoughts. So I donít need to tell you it looks really cool but what you donít know is it feels really cool too, the slider is smooth, the screen is great and the touch buttons are sleek.
The menus are easy to get around you can use shortcuts or the touch keys which is a nice addition to trolling through. The camera is also very good and you have lots of option, but if your going to take pictures or video buy an micro SD card as the phone memory will soon but taken up. Another nice feature is the picture editor built into the phone which allows you to can add some nice effects to your pictures. The MP3 player is nice and quick to load and the controls for the MP3 player are also touch buttons that light up when it's in MP3 mode. There are also a number of little features which really add to this phone, txting is easy and the vivid mode for reading txt is gimmicky but cool. The applications are also great too with a great converter for weight, length, volume, area, temperature and currency. The games included on mine where ok but most of them are only limited trials.
So thatís the good stuff out of the way. Unfortunately there are some things that seriously spoil this phone. The battery life is shocking, be ready to charge it every two days and thatís not with heavy usage. The touch sensitive keys are in the wrong place if your right handed, the cancel button is so easy to catch with your thumb and even now after months of having this phone I still get caught every now and then, this simple little design feature lets the phone down. The sound from the phone also isn't the best, you can have MP3's as ring tones but to be honest the sound is that bad through the speaker it's embarrassing. The phone also seems to struggle with weak signals, I'm with Vodafone in the UK and I struggle getting any kind of reception in the office. Iíve tested with friends phones, and itís partly the phone but mostly Vodafone. I tested with a D600 on Vodafone and it had 2 bars, I also tested with another E900 on orange and they had 5 bars, this is when I had no signal and no service, not all the E900 fault but worth you knowing it the signal in your area isnít great. So all in all the phone looks great and has some great features but the shocking battery life, poor sound and frustrating layout of the touch sensitive keys really take the shine off of this phone.
Bec, unfortunatley you cannot put an o2 sim card or any other network sim card into any tesco mobile handset as they are locked to tesco mobile, despite the fact that Tesco is run by O2. (uses the o2 network signal, problably has O2 staff manning call centres etc). Strangely, you can put a tesco mobile sim into a locked O2 mobile but not the other way round. However, tesco mobile network is not bad atall so at that price its probably worth getting!

i am looking to buy the e900 now my concern with this phone would be if there have been any freezing or restarting with the phone...can the phone vibrate and ring at the same time as my samsung e730 and that is an older phone so it should...can i use mp3's as my ringtone...will i be able to save a picture/video directly to the transflash card...how is the mp3 playback sound like and last but not least what version is the bluetooth.
i know theres alot of questions but if those are answered it would help alot since i am looking to buy the phone
samsung e900, its a beaulty man. bought it yesterday for $300 and im loving it. touch pad and functions rock. i encourage those that love previous slide models such as d500 and d600 to have a try of this stylish phone. it rocks !
Finally got my E900..
Have been sitting with it for a few hours and this is the most perfect phone i ever have had.. everything is good! You can play music and do other things meanwhile (which have been said that you could'nt), Fifa 06 integreted ;D, touchpads are so easy to learn! Speakers plays loud with MP3..
Buy this phone before your best friend does!
can anyone help me, My e900 has developed a problem when i try to turn the camera on i get an error message that says check camera conection??? Not sure whats going on here. Anyone shine any light on this for me??. Thanks
Hi, finally i got mine E908 from Taiwan. Just used some features untill batery goes out (some1 used a bit before me), at 1st glance is the best phone I ever had. (I had Vulcan,V3 motorolas, SE T68i, LG) IT IS STYLISH, classic, the buttons are very sensitive but is easy to get used to (new tech always demands a training). I will explore more tonight and post.
i think the e900 is really good phone the only problems i have with the phone are that it doesnt hold its charge it needs charging every 2 days and that it takes about a minute to connect to a call
If I were to buy that phone from tesco at £170 could I put my o2 sim card in the phone or would I have to use the tesco network and use their tesco simcard thanks. Maybe thats why the price is cheaper because it is on the tesco network.
I wanted this phone for ages thought too expensive until I wernt on tesco mobile and it is only £170 now that is preety good price as that phone is top quality and normally it is about £200 so I can't wait to save up then buy it from Tesco. Well done Tesco that is a great price. (Tesco is a U.K. Supermarket)
I got this phone yesterday and it is amazing! The touch buttons take a bit of getting used to as i keep phoning people by accident, but after a few hours mucking about with the phone, it's much easier to use. I've got 9 songs and 50 images from my old phone on it at the mo and i have a quarter of the memory left, so i am thinking about getting a memory chip soon. I fully charged it up last night at it is warning me that i now have a low battery again, but this is probably because i have been listening to music on it all of the time, as well as mucking around with it. Other than these ^ few little problems, this phone is great! one of my friends is now getting one and i definitely recommend the samsung E900 to anyone!
