Had the phone a day, and texting is very easy...as long as your fingers aint too fat then its great ( i have big fingers )
can't find instant messaging?? could it be that o2 has disabled it?? because looking at the phone through QPST there are some settings and icons for IM,...does anyone have unbranded phone and can confirm??
Jim, 05 Jun 2008I have returned this after 4 days. Terrible battery life and UI is unbeliably frustrating. i think you got a dodgy phone Jim, mine works perfectly and my battery lasted ages,
Rob - UK, 06 Jun 2008Hello People, Can someone confirm something for me please - Does the F480 suffer from the... morethe volume is really good for this phone, my experience from the past is the thinner the phone the worse the volume is but this is not the case, i was pleasently suprised when i found out
tyrone, 06 Jun 2008i have heard that it is very difficult to text with the touch sensitive screen. Any experience... moreits not hard to text, but the space button and the button to finish typing are very close so if you have bigish fingers you can often press the finish button accidently, but you can easily get back on to the typing screen.

aazie, 06 Jun 2008I would like to know if TOCCO has both mp3 player and real player option or not. It's just an MP3 player, Powered by Bang & Olsten I believe... All the formats it can play are MP3 / AMR-NB/I-Melody/SMAF/XMF/MIDI/SP MIDI/ AAC/AAC+/Enhanced AAC+ / WMA
Here is the full spec according to Samsung UK
i have heard that it is very difficult to text with the touch sensitive screen. Any experiences would be appreciated ?
I would like to know if TOCCO has both mp3 player and real player option or not.
I just got mine from Orange.
Brilliant phone. Easy to use, Thin, Loud call volume,
I would give it 10/10
All this crap about this been a LG copy is just sour grapes. Yea they may look similar but a copy I think not. For one the TOCCO is smaller and thinner, Than the VIEWTY. The buttons are totally different, so one is smaller than the other they have different button designs and the keypads are different, but you say they look the same, Get real. The only similarities are they both have touch screen.
Samsung TOCCO F480
LG VIEWTY KU990/KE990
I have never understood people saying one phone is a copy of another. Come on people the mobile phone manufacturers only have so much they can do with designing a mobile phone.
There’s bound to be times when two different manufacturers look similar, if you prefer LG’s the buy an LG if you prefer Samsung then you know what to do....
thyranus, 05 Jun 2008this phone is a copy of LG VIEWTY!! but the SAMSUNG firmware sucks! I love VIEWTY!!! :)let me guess, you bought a viewty and are a bit bitter that this is so much better, right?
Dean Miller, 06 Jun 2008Yeah I'm starting to get fed up seeing all the other beautiful pics on the hold screen too! Su... moreI ended up downloading some really nice wallpapers from this website http://www.freemobilefun.net/
They are free, just copy and paste the link, copy the picture on your computer and transfer to your phone via the USB cable.
NRW, 03 Jun 2008Someone previously mentioned you can customise the themes, but i have been through every menu ... moreYeah I'm starting to get fed up seeing all the other beautiful pics on the hold screen too! Surely there must be a way of activating them. I checked out some demos on Youtube and still no mention of it, but noticed one user demonstrating images with the night time and sunset pics as options. Anyone any the wiser? Other than that more than pleased. Great phone.
hey guys does anyone know which bluetooth stereo headset is compatible with tocco? many thanks
Can someone confirm something for me please -
Does the F480 suffer from the same poor in call volume as the Samsung U900 Soul?
Just bought the phone yesterday.
Pleased with it so far! Nice features, looks smart and I personally think it's a great multi-media phone. The photos look good, music player seems to be adequate and FM radio's a nice touch too.
I've copied a few photos from my PC and they look excellent! The PC software is worth a mention. It's straight forward, simple to use and basically offers everything I could ask for.
A couple of downsides to the phone though...
I find the flat screen a bit difficult to text with, although I have just changed from a SPV-E650 which had a QWERTY keypad. Also, I came on this forum to find out about downloading extra applications to find a couple of people saying that it is not possible which is a real shame.
If anybody knows otherwise I would appreciate a sharing of your wisdom!
That's it from me!
Overall I'd give it an 8.5 / 10
