The HTC Diamond and Samsung F480 are totally two different types of phone; the most distinguishable thing between the two phones being that the Diamond runs Microsoft OS and Samsung F480 doesn't.
Judging by the ever growing class actions against HTC, their devices leave a lot to be desired...
Andre, 27 May 2008Does anyone know if the F480 has a stylus?Nope the F480 does not have stylus
TMobile still havent got no date for release. one sales member said, week starting 27/08.. lady today said no date. so no date, means no pricing.
Spoke to O2 (UK) this morning, they confirmed they have the phones in stock and they should be available tomorrow (28th May), the guy I spoke to suggested calling after 3pm.
Can people who get this phone let me know a few things please:
Caller ID how big is the picture that comes up?
Can you customise ring tones?
Can you customise the text message tone?
How is it for texting, is it hard compared to a normal phone?
Did it come with the leather cover?
What is the sound quality like during a call and when it rings?
Foe people who have never had this kind of phone before what's it like compared to a normal mobile that isn't touch.
could we just drag and drop jar files and install them ???
does it work ???
F480 HAVE 5 megapixel camera with Smile Shot mode (takes pictures once a smile is detected)

reguarding price specifications-its going to have to compete with the iphone somehow
best phone out.... wait a second the only problem is, that is isnt out! trying to compare htc with f480, well firstly 5.0 vs 3.2 (and no flash)... haptic vs no haptic... sd slot vs no sd slot.. and every1 know how many glitches windows operating systems have... and apple iphone, pft who are you kidding, wow wi-fi, omg 3G iphone! who cares if have HSDPA... yet still where the f*#k is this f480? when will it actually come out
HTC Touch Diamond is far better than this phone. It is little bit expensive than this one.............
Do your own research by going back a couple of pages and reading what has been written. Pay as You Go/ Sim Free prices have been given from several websites already.
I wish you and others would stop being so lazy and arrogant in thinking we should run around and do your work for you
hello, hope the ones who have purchased have recieved their f480 (sim free), it should have come fully loaded with charger as well as memory card. Reciept of 250 should also have been recieved within a seperate envelope with the package. i should be recieveing another 200 by the end of this week, my apologies for people on the waiting list. I will keep you updated for any phones i recieve a request for over 100, cheers.
$650 will not work for this phone. For $150 more, you can already get the HTC Touch Diamond. They should sell this for $450, or, keep the price but upgrade the screen size to 3.0 inches, upgrade the display from QVGA to full VGA, or at least half VGA, and upgrade the video recording capacity from 15fps to 30fps. If they do that for $650, this phone can be a showstopper for the HTC Touch Diamond, but of course they wouldn't do what I say =)
Got an e-mail from O2 on thursday re the f480 and they say that they will have it from the 28 May
F480 does not meant to rival iPhone in anyway. Why dont you look at i900 instead.
112 x 56 x 13mm
3.5-inch 256k colors TFT Touch Screen, 240 x 400 pixel
OS: Windows Mobile 6.1
Camera: 5 megapixel, autofocus, Xenon Flash
Secondary video camera, extra white LED to help in low light condition
16GB built in memory
microSD card slot
1500 mAh battery
...and it costs $500. How does your iPhone sounds now? Crap??!!!!
