one more thing, can we set MP3 as SMS tone and not just as ringtone? that's important to me also. i have asked gsmarena about that but i guess they don't read our opinions since i got no reply. :-) thank you!
yeah, i believe this is going to be worth the wait. just that i hope SAMSUNG would not let me wait that long like what Sony Ericsson did with their W960. i was excited by that phone. it was announced in June, released in December and it was only available in the Philippines by April. i'm glad that i've decided not to buy for it by March, it was not beautiful in real life, no regrets. i hope also this F480 would not be overpriced... SE W960 is priced at PhP25,200 with 8gig, WiFi, Touchscreen... so i hope this would be priced less that W960.
in response to the SE k770 owner the screen size is identical to the armani which in my opinion is plenty big enough
hey, fellas! some sources say the expected release date is may, 19.. some more time to wait, but i think its worth the wait:)
cheers!
what does it mean 240x320 screen????
does it mean that the screen is just like on my SE k770
Comments from gsmareana review:
Main disadvantages
Tri-band only
Display legibility suffers under direct sunlight
No landscape mode and no virtual QWERTY keyboard
Fingerprint magnet
Inadequate flash for the camera
Video recording capabilities max out at QVGA resolution
The place on the market Samsung F480 is aiming at is far from vacant. There is a number of touch-operated Flash UI devices out there and, accidentally or not, most of them are made by Samsung.
F480 is a basic phone is big slim pacakge. You want a basic phone have to no features use other phoens from Nokia, Sony or LG. why you want a big phone with basic function. You want a flat phone do what F480 do and more look at HTC Cruise, LG KS20 and so on. Samsung look around to your compatitors what they do....
no querty = its crap
sowwww HOT!!!! i love this phone! way to go Samsung! two thumbs up for yah people! ^____^
Samsung!@#,
The I900 is listed as an article of samsungs coming out later this year on the gsmarena home page. It has not been added to the main list of phones yet. There is no release date yet which is probably why. It does look cool, its a windows 6.1 touch screen iphone looking phone.
The Samsung i900 is just too big for me. So this is the best option.
Is it slide?
lg viewty is still better...
NWR, i dont see any samsung i900
this phone is nice and slim, perfect size. maybe not all the features but who cares, its a phone,to make and recieve calls, nice camera also. its a great phone to have in my pocket. who needs a wifi and gps. get a break guys, its just a waste of time checking facebook or myspace every 3 minutes
For all you wi-fi lovers that don't seem to understand that this phone doesn't need it as it's not aimed at the smart phone or business user market, check out the Samsung i900, it's a smart phone with touchscreen and it has wi-fi and 3G. You now have a phone to suit your needs so stop moaning about this one!
Finally a full feature phone that is not as big as a PDA. I wish this had GPS, but on other notes it is perfect!
Any idea when this will be for sale?
***STOP PRESS***
For all those who bemoanded the lack of wifi on the F480, and read on this forum my suggestion that soon a revised model would come out offering wifi for you, GPS for me, well it's announced the i900 which has all the features we want in a brilliantly styled 490 lookalike.
Downside we have to wait until September. So don't buy the 480/490 save up since the i900 sure won't be cheap
You sound like I am Nokia Fan. I buy phoen that is nice, slim and with good features. I agree with you about Nokia phone even I owened many Nokia phone before like many others. If you always look fro good option phone so you are not stock with one MFG. Right now I have E51, HTC touch C. and IPHONE. Looking forward in seeing Sony G900 next month. Nokia has run out of idea or they waiting to surprise everyone soon. We do not see them coming with anything exciting sicne they announce the N95. I do not like N95 is to big I do owen the N82 which is a great phone but is too big too. That is why the Sony G900 is a good replacement.
well this phone is prety good, for those who want wi-fi maybe you don,t know that 3g is better than wi-fi. get yoselves laptops wi-fi lovers.
