I am trying to update my wp7 version to 7.10.7720.68, but almost 5 times I tried ... moreHey Abdul, plz try these steps:
1:Reset your phone(Soft reset)
2:Do not put any data onto your phone
3:Then try updating you phone.
4:if it doesnt work, pls do hard reset and try updating.
Note: Every time you connect to your PC after reset, change sync relationship under settings in ZUNE, rename your phone and then it will install the update automatically.

I just ordered an ... moreDear Friend, Samsung focus is factory unlcoked mobile so if u hard reset it or update it to Mango u r mobile will not b locked so go ahead and update it to Mango, no issues at all. U can add up to 32 gb memory card to Samsung focus, buy according to your preference(memory card should b preferably above class 6 either sandisc,transcend r Kingston) and insert it. Switch of the mobile insert memory card and press power on button for a second n then simultaneously press volume up and down button and camera button n wait for the instructions, mobile will offer you to format it press the windows logo button and format it n then update it to Mango via Zune software, one important point never remove memory card after updating as it becomes total internal memory unlike other mobiles. Enjoy n if u have any more doubts do not hesitate to contact me. Cheers.

Hi,
I used this handset.... this is ultimate handset with beauty of windows phone OS & Mango as icing on cake.
used Dell Venue pro as well... but focus is far above in terms of features.
Memory card, Camera, Digital compass, lightweight, superamoled etc used everything & they are awesome...

I have a couple of questions I need your help in answering. I just ordered an unlocked AT&T Samsung Focus from a vendor on ebay India. My questions are:
1) In order to increase memory on the phone, I'd have to hard reset it. Will it not take the phone back to its factory setting and "lock" it again? Is there a way around it?
2) I plan to update my phone to WP Mango. Just in case if my phone isn't locked again, what would you recommend? Increasing the memory first and then upgrading to Mango or vice versa.
I'm a complete newbie when it comes to windows phones and any help from you would be appreciated.
