im quite impressed with this phone, only three things niggling me 1. doesnt do video calling 2. doesnt have sat nav like the n95 and 3. is the camera as good as the n95's? really unsure but apart from that im really impressed.
I got a Samsung G600 about a month ago on contract with Orange, but I'm now on my 3rd handset, as each one I've had has been faulty. Has anyone else had problems with texting on these phones? When I'm texting the screen seems to freeze for a minute or so, and then it springs back into life, often writing a load of gobbledeegook. I'm really disappointed as I love Samsungs and really liked the features on this phone.
i work in phones 4 u and have been in the mobile industry for 3 years now and i have never seen a phone with fewer problems. this is an amazing phone i have never had returns on these phones and for that reason have purchased it myself. camera great, bang and olufson sound system, funky slider what is not to like. bearing in made my experience with phones i would not use a phone that wasnt reliable and also i will only use the best on the market. take my advice guys buy this handset. if you already have it and dont like it you all want your heads testing. n965 no comparison- honeslty
to laura,,at this moment i have 36 text mssges in my inbox so i dont think its limited to 20 but as yet because im not using it as main fone just yet i could not say how many it can hold..this g600 seems quite new out and even gsmarena have not done a review yet
Is it true that you can only keep upto 20 msgs in your inbox, cos i'm planning on buying this phone, but 20 spaces won't be enough..
dont get me wrong it's a nice phone but i dont know why the screen quality is poor when it's got a 5 mp camera
the max card is 2gb,,the g600 does not support the high capacity card and do not know if an upgrade can cure this..its says this on my usual card site mobymemory
what is the maximum capacity of micro sd card that can be installed? can any one help
to answer some questions,,their is no way i can fiend a standby screen once its gone off thats it no detail i can see,,
Their are no touch sensitive buttons on this model it good old push button,,
This is not 3g the cam looking item at front is light sensor,,
On sending txts their are about 50 emoticons but not coloured type just the shapes made up of characters type to include plus send image, video, music, sound, calendar entries, templates, clip art, namecards allsorts it just a minefield of options..
I dont know anything about the cb 200 thingy sorry,,
I will also say the radio is as good as it gets and the converter is superb app and my supplied games are
minigolf las vegas
paris hiltons diamond quest
whether these are trials i dont know have not played them yet,,hope this info helps
After a good play around with music player i am impressed and did a loop test non-stop and got 12.5 hrs before it went to that mode where it just lets you txt and fone for the last of the battery. The supplied headfones work a treat and are the in ear buds used by s/e and my g600 from carfone came with 1gb memory card and bluetooth headset,,here are the settings for the equaliser plus you get 3 different animations,,,,
The last two have a real niteclub effect and all are very different but i cannot find any effect with surround mode as such ?
Their are two types of light settings,,the usual in the d900 plus an extra where its automatic and uses the front mounted sensor to vary the lighting due to different lighting levels..
I tried video and its on par with d900 but slightly more smoother and a bit more detailed at cif resolution but ive not used the camera fully yet oudoors as its rained alot but one thing is i cannot find how to keep the light on the camera (led flash)on as a torch but i will find out if i can..Its still a brilliant fone and enjoying it more than my n95 i can still do just as much with it near enough and 90% of the apps for n95 are silly really and its only the paid for apps that make some difference and i can still send recieve email,,use mobizines etc and ive got a stopwatch which i use in cooking,,,oh did i mention the glorious colour screen..
ive been using this g600 for a week and its got longer battery than the d900 ive been using for last 10mths.It feels more solid and music is superb so is vid and fotos.I love theme editer which is like magic themes i had on my se p900,you just use any of the 16 million hues to make up your background colour and txt its just a fully customisable fone but some fixed melodies apply but who cares its only a stupid alert for a few secs of ur life,,,fantastic, light and very colourful mobile 9.5,/10
I hav 2 say I had high expectations of this phone as I am such a big samsung fan but after using it for less than an hour I decided it wasnt as great as Id hav liked sadly.I used to hav a z320i and 2 be honest I prefered it so much more. Ok so theres no touch screen buttons and the camera is great but theres isnt much else to this phone and I really wanted to like it 2.
g 600 best photomobile in european market for now,i had n95 before so now i can see picture taken from n95 and taken from my new g600 on my laptop,g600 beats n95 in quality of pictures,g600 makes them clear, nice like a mirror,n95 makes them very blury and don't say about zoom, even vga video in 15frames looks better, and all is bilt from samsung components, nice slider, pleasant material not like my previous rattling and full of gaps n95, so if u wont good photomobile go for g600 or if u will have chance get sharp 910 or casio 53
I'm planning on getting this phone. Does it have touch sensitive keys? If it does, is it as sensitive as the U600? Anybody having complaints of the screen freezing? Is the camera better than the U600's? I would welcome any information about the G600. The good points and not so good points. Nothing like an informed decision. Cheers.
"This is actually the worst phone ever made and this is a fact not an opinion i have contacts who are at the to of technoilogy and i no dat i am right"
Yes i will on take the opinion of some one with your apparent iq!
i have had the g600 for 3 weeks now and over all its a great phone the camera is good i find the picture always comes out better if i use the flash. as long as you have the right lighting the camera is great, the memory is good and the phone is so sexy really nice looking.
can someone please tell me if you can use emoticons in sending messages on this phone... everyone keeps sayin so but i don't know how... please please please contact me
the bit below about pathetic battery and crashes and loose slider was reffering to n95 NOT g600,,sorry about that,,g600 is excellent in all these departments
have come from n95 to this,,fed up with pathetic battery and crashes plus it feels like the top slider is gonna slide off its that loose...
Had it since monday but not giving a full review yet but can answer some questions,,the connectors are not the same as d900 im afraid so the tv out cables dont fit the g600 from my d900,,i would say the battery is stronger than the d900,,and its different to operate a bit its taking me a bit to get used to...The screen is as gorgeous as ever and altho not a sexy design to look at its rock solid and light. After all the loads of phones ive had since 1998 this is looking to be one of the best and at the moment seems flawless and the screen looks better than the d900 as it fits better whereas the d900 looks lost in the big surround..Going to be checking properly mp3 player, cam and vid shortly,,tried video at CIF resolution and looks fine on screen but to try on tele will use sandisk v-mate since have no tv out cables yet,,im happy so far very much
Can someone please tell me if you can turn off the standby mode so the screen doesnt go blank when the slider is shut - or at least have a clock that scrolls down the screen. The phone doesnt even tell you if you have a text or missed call. Have checked the instructions and cannot see anything about this but I can't believe this setting would not be available.
