I dont really know who brought the idea of G800 its a big disgrace to samsung. I bought this phone two weeks ago, i get tired with it in two days. So Awefullllllllllll
it is 1 of the best fones in the world i say go 4 it you will never make a mistake geting this fone and by the way its the way you take care of the fone
Andy if you're really into photography, I wouldn't recommend getting any mobile phone with a camera no matter how many megapixels. A camera on a phone will always have to compromise something. I have the Samsung G800 and love it, but the camera doesn't handle well in low light, even with the flash. You can never do better than a purpose built digital camera. this is good to have for the odd occasion you're caught without a camera but won't replace it for quality & speed of use.
I got this because it has HSDPA internet & a decent camera & music player. if I want to take good pics I use a different camera.
I got the phone yesterday, it's got a great camera, and it's looks stunning!!! the only problem I have is that it doesn't support symbian... otherwise, for it's price class you won't get better!!!!
Does anybody else have problems w/ their phone?? After one week of use mine stopped gettin reception completely. Everything else works fine but the phone just couldnt get service anywhere i went. Came back for a couple hrs the next day and then crapped out again. Anyone have this problem???
im planning to buy cameraphone i dont have digital camera my cousin broke it. my aunt gonna give me $200 and with that money i rather buy cameraphone insted of digital camera i love talking pic everytime and i dont wanna carry digital camera all the time but i cant decide which phone i should buy samsung g800 or sony 850 they n95 is good but i really hate nokia design
Having been a Sony E owner since cell phones were availabe I have taken this big step and got the G800. (For the camera - which I don't think is much better than the 2MP of the Sony E. )Had it for a few hours. I am totally disappointed that there is not speed dial facility. What a shame. Also, having to get my head around the Samsung way of doing things is difficult for me. My husband has the Sony E 910i and it is slim, easy and gorgeous.
I bought this mobile. It's really wonderful but bulky. Those who like compact mobiles won't like this size :(
Avoid this handset at all costs!
The speicification looks great if you want a handset that can take pictures.
Unfortunately it doesn't live up to expectations. Just about all pictures are blurred and the 'shutter' is so slow that the subject has moved by the time it takes the picture. The annoying thing is that the preview picture generally looks fine.
All indoor photos are absolutely terrible, and yes, I have changed the settings eventhough I would expect Auto to suffice.
Tried to swap the device but I'm now out of my 14 day return date. I'm now lumbered with a complete brick for 12 mths- it is huge, wouldn't mind if it could take a decent picture but it can't.
this reply goes out to one who is asking about the memory card no sony ericsson's memory card does not work in smasung as it have micro sd slot and sony ericsson have ms slot so both of them are different..........
look again at the specifications:
Card slot microSD (TransFlash).
This means that you can not use your M2 card on the G800. You will have to buy a microSD
May be the 7.2mbps 3g will do the trick...but i doubt it will perform...i envy the g800 and g810 but i fear my money will go to waste,..i love the internet but samsung dosent provide it...they are snails in browsing and downloading
so far iv had the e250,d600,d600e,d820,d840,d900i, but non of them is a better and fast browser like the simple n5200. and an old t68i sony...samsung if you want to go down like the kawasaki motorola, then ignore the battery n browsers of ur samsungs
