Samsung G810 has the same OS version with i450 and i550/i550W, Symbian 9.2 s60v3 feature pack 1. I think Samsung RnD division use the same source code to built the firmware version for i450, i550/i550W and G810. They only have minor changes to make different with other type, based on hardware capability.
As I know, 3D GPU on G810 only kick when u take the picture with main camera.
Why 3D GPU fully enabled on INNOV8 and i7110 ? I think this is the reason:
1. Symbian 9.3 S60 featured pack 2 support 3D transition effect user interface.
2. High Quality video recording needs GPU support(VGA at 30fps or above).
3. DivX Playback & 3D Games(Samsung added Asphalt 4 HD and FIFA 2008 to compete with NGage in Nokia NSeries). I know that DivX Movie, Asphalt 4 and FIFA 2009 can run without 3D acceleration, but not as smooth as with GPU enabled.

should i install another software for those two application? where can i find it? is it free??

I think u are expert in sammy fone..btw did u know why sammy g810's 3d cpu is disabled? As we know both g810 and i8510 use the same chipset ti omap 2430..only one thing different between g810 n i8510..phone radio cpu...i8510 using qualcomm msm 6280 (support hsdpa up to 7.2mbps) while g810 using qualcomm msm 6260 (hsdpa up to 3.6mbps)..hope sammy enable 3d cpu of g810..huhu

The sammy G810 is one of the best s60 fone...feature packed with amazing design n build quality..camera also slightly better than n82 at day pics,but nite pics dissapointing..i agree multimedia aspect n95 8gb better than g810,but daily performance i prefer g810..reliable,faster than n82,decent convenient keypad,robust body,smooth n strong sliding mechanism (please compare to n95,n96,n81 n u'll know g810 very2 smooth but strong)
S60v3 fp1 also makes g810 smarter than other competitor like k850,g900,u900,viewty and stay at same level with n95,n82
330mhz arm 11 plus 128mb ram of g810 also boasts the ui menu,operation,task etc..leaves n73,n81,n96 and slightly faster than 332mhz of n82,n95 (but n82 much2 faster at 3d processing)
TV-OUT,WIFI,GPS,5MP OPTIC ZOOM makes g810 perfect beauty business phone

Battery n loudspeaker..

Yupz,sammy characteristic...stylish,elegant,solid,n robust...combined with smart symbian s60..
U can borrow ur fren's n82,n95,n96..n compare it..u'll find g810 much2 luxury,n solids although nokia is more expensive...
Same with mine...g810dbhf1,i just googling and in general europe, there's fw g810xxhh1..dated 08-08..it's newer than our fw,but not release yet in our region...

Aris, 26 Feb 2009I use toshiba microsdhc class 6 4gb..be sure using good n original microsd..it's affected spee... moreIt's different type. Samsung G810 using Lithium-Ion 1200mAH. Nokia N82 using Lithium Polimer 1050mAH.
BP-6MT, P mean polimer. Another Nokia battery type is BL, L mean lithium-ion. Example: BL-5C(6600), BL-6C(6275i), BL-4C(6300), etc.

Yeah,sammy battery looks inferior,my 1200mAH just comparable with nokia bp 6mt 1050mAH
I think that's not true,coz new fone has auto mode to discharge the batt is full,but it's true that could be better if we remove the batt when it's fully charged,coz it can damage the power ic,not battery ones

ow ya. the weak of sammy is the battery. many people say it's poor. =(
if charge a phone, it must at off condition.
and many ppl say if charge a phone in a long time (already full, but still charge it), can make the battery broken.
is it true??

what do u mean about must full empty??? as i know, a new phone has 3 or 2 bar battery. so, i must make it until low bat, and power off it and then charge it???

But from innov8,omnia n later..we can update the fw individually coz sammy just released the samsung software updater (ssu)..so next device like omnia (winmo 6.1),innov8,pilot (s60v3 fp2),s8300 (touchwiz 2.0),omnia hd (s60v5 touch) has this feature

I have a few important notes for a new sammy g810 phone user :
1. Please be sure to recharge d battery at 1st time at off condition..must full empty till full charged
2. The sammy battery different with nokia/se...don't panic at 1st week u feel battery very2 poor..after 10 days u'll get maximum power..
3. Set the brightness at 20%..it's comparable to n82 brightness at 80%,the lcd very2 affected the battery
4.dont forget to show me your firmware version..hehe..press *#0000#
