Samsung Android Touch UI Rumors

The first details on Samsung Galaxy 2 and S5620 Monte recently became available. The Android army is obviously about to get another powerful weapon with new Galaxy, while the Monte will battle it out at the mid-range front.

It looks like Samsung are preparing a strike back on the Android front with the new still unannounced Galaxy 2. A Snapdragon 1GHz CPU, 3.7 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen and 32GB internal memory are the best parts of its specs sheet.

As you may expect the connectivity is perfectly covered and there will be a 3.5mm audio jack and a 5 megapixel snapper onboard. Galaxy 2 will run on Android 2.1 and is expected to hit the shelves in Q2 of this year. The official announcement most probably will take place at the MWC in February.

The S5620 Monte is a touchscreen candybar running on the latest Samsung TouchWiz UI. The Monte is expected to sport a 3-inch capacitive display, 3 or 5 megapixel camera, 3G with HSDPA support, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio port, 200MB internal memory and microSD card slot. Again, the unveiling is supposed to happen on the MWC, weeks from now.
