This is a basic phone, but it's great. I bought mine last year and it's been working well, good sound, good display, good speed. It's not a powerful phone, it's not a phone for bigger games, but does great with lesser games. I was actually surprised by this phone, and I do not regreat buying, ever! It's a perfect entrance and begginers phone.

This could have been a great phone, the problem is lack of storage or lack of external storage support. 32gb would have been a great idea for this phone seeing as almost 10-12gb are taken by pre installed apps (cannot be removed unless adb commands) and the OS itself leaving you 4-6 gb to play with. Just one app now days can take that up. Lack of space causes it to lag which is a deal breaker for most people. I think they missed the mark here and could have had a great entry phone. I would highly suggest not buying this phone and get yourself a used (refurbished) s10e or something like that.

I've had this phone for almost a year now, and it's been horrible. My mom got it for my birthday because it was cheap, but the 16gb is not nearly enough storage even with an sd card to carry the weight of media. It is laggy and almost non functional. The A01 is the worst in the series, so please consider investing in a good phone that will last longer and actually work well.

Anonymous, 01 Sep 2021And a higher probability of messing it up and bricking the phone! You can't brick a phone by removing a battery.

Now shorting it on the other hand...

This has a laggy processor, it is not good and it sucks. The camera is bad, the battery is decent. I have it and the Carrier Login Services stops every time. Bad phone, do not recommend. Only if you want to get it ,lol

I have never had an Android phone that did not have the option to transfer apps to an SD card. The Galaxy A01 is the first I've had that does not offer this option. As a result, I have no real storage for apps, and the sheer lack of memory makes any app running in Unity crash at random. It's about as useful as a flip phone, which is what I should have purchased instead, if this is the best a budget Android phone can offer.

I bought this phone 1.5 year ago for only 80$ and it is a jewel for its price. Very functional and snappy.

I got this phone four months ago, everything seemed fine at first but now it is buggy and lags so much. It doesn’t run properly and I’ve hardly used it. It’s the crappiest phone I’ve ever owned. Useful in a pinch that’s about it. You will be so frustrated just with the lags and it exiting out of things randomly.
