Angie, 29 Jul 2022Can someone please tell me how to move apps to the SD card?It's hard, you have to go to my files and copy all your other stuff and paste to SD. Then go to apps click on the one you want to move then click dots on upper right and then move the apps that you have the option to move

Any time it demands me to install an update, I can't, because not enough storage. This phone is an oxyMORON!

I can transfer a couple of small apps to the SD card, and not able to transfer any large ones, which makes the SD card fairly useless, since it's the apps that take up a LOT of the storage!
Is there an explanation or a solution for that???

Shouldve used Android Go on this small storage small ram device! Samsungs One UI is Bloated & puts this phone to a crawl & storage will be full just installing social apps!

I bought the phone from the carrier Consumer Cellular after they convinced me I needed a new phone, found out that there is so little storage I can't download hardly any apps or even update some of the apps pre-installed on the phone. When I called the carrier about this, I was told no problem just install an external SD card and it'll be fine. Turned out I could transfer gallery items and documents but cannot transfer almost all apps (which take up the bulk of storage). And the pre-installed apps can't be uninstalled. I've called the carrier several times (one "tech support" person actually Googled instructions to try to help). I've called Samsung a number of times, and they've walked me through the steps (even referred me to YouTube videos), they suggested I get a Samsung brand SD card (which I did) but that didn't help. Every tech support I've talked to inevitably throw up their hands about moving certain apps to the SD card. It's constantly alerting me I'm running out of space. Meanwhile, enough time passed by that it became too late to return the phone. It's embarrassing to have people suggest downloading apps, and me trying to explain why I can't.
To add to that, I've had callers complain about distortion and reverb (even though I don't have that problem on my end). Again, another embarrassing explanation...
Other than having a battery with long life compared to my old one (an S6), this phone is useless to me.
I thought Samsung was a reputable company, but I don't know what they were thinking with this poor excuse of a device.

After you install a couple of apps the memory gets full. it comes with a lot of unnecessary apps that you cannot get rid off.

At home 4 of us use this model, it is cheap, the camera is decent and the battery lasts a lifetime, calls and music are heard very well, in fact I was able to install Nova launcher and an icon pack on mine and with a lens to prevent scratching the glass and a hard rubber case at times looks like a high-end phone. Be careful, if you are looking to play fortnite in full hd with mods and all the obvious paraphernalia on top, it will not work for you. It is ideal for your aunt or granny who spends all day on their social networks sharing cat videos.

ElK, 26 Mar 2022Mine restarts too by itself after the last updateSince getting March 1, 2022 security patch level, my phone only restart once till now (touch wood). At least not that frequent anymore.

Samsung Galaxy A01, not a bad phone. It performs all basic functions. It is basic entry level phone that you can keep as secondary. I am using it for a year. I am happy with its performance. It should have 32 gig memory. It also has a Little bit short battery time.
