The advantage in this phone for me is getting rid of using GPS navigation in my commutes. Because the gps in this phone is the worst ever and you could not depend on it any more.

Bought Samsung A30 in last week, I am surprised it is so lowsy in running apps properly especially ones related to location-GPS. Uber, google map. It doesn't feel fast enough in its processing. Multiple apps work lot better in my Samsung A8 from 2015.

My company bought 5 unit A30 for food delivery rider use to navigate customer side using waze or google map, then we realised the gps is so terrible ,it takes more than one minute to receive a signal, even after the signal came, the gps is not moving at all when my car is moving or jump to random location, not accurate very unusable. I update the phone to lastest software, i did all the customer support told me to do (clear cache , restart phone, reset.. blabla...) the problem still exist. I went to service center told them the problem and they were doing some software and give back to me and i send it back to them because the problem still there, then they replace the phone for me after 2 weeks AND THE PROBLEM STILL THERE LOL. After that they were blaming the service providers regarding this problem. Even they doesn't know how to resolve it.
After the hopeless samsung service support, I seacrh around the forum and community for help, i see many ppl is talking about the same gps issue.
GUYS IF GPS IS IMPORTANT TO YOU DONT BUY THIS PHONE

Yeah they offer good Performance but I'd say for a better overall Performance, go for the a30.the amoled display, fast charging, one UI, after sale service, low Sar value is good enough for me

Anonymous, 10 Apr 2019Go for a30 A30 is a joke, autofocus is slow, speaker is soft, phone is slow, Gps is slow...etc. Y9 is a good mid range, A30 is low range.
