Do you guys think that the 1.5GB Ram will be enough to use Android 7 smooth on it??
Or is Android 7 less hardware-resources-hungry compared to Android 6 or 5??
Shanijee, 05 Oct 2016R u joking
A3 2016 will never get nougat v7Samsung has officially confirmed an upgrade to Nougat for the A3 (and also the A8) some time in the first half of 2017.
They did not qualify this by generation, so it's ambiguous whether this only applies to the 2016 model, or if it might also apply to the 2015 model.

this phone is all you need, only thing i would like in it was a gyro.
but yes very nice phone thx Samsung
This phone is beyond its class, compact, slick, well built. Superb display. Like S3 back in the days but in a nicer package. If you take the price in consideration all I have to say is "Well don Samsung!"

My mobile hadnt Charge and then I charge my mobile now doesnt turn on my mobile
What can I do ??
The best of the best among the 4.7 inch screen. Superb phone. Nothing to complain.
Been using this mobile for 12months. This is a medium size monster. For those who dont need big screen suggest go for this as everything is good. But if need big screen then dont recommend. But size is ok to me as it 4.7 and same as iphone 6, 6s
aravind , 21 Jan 2017Battary backup is poor I had the same problem with battery autonomy and i solved it by switching off Smart stay function under Display menu. Maybe it could be the main reason of your battery draining.
I bought this phone before 3 days. On my display there is a thin green line on left side. It is only visible when brightness is high. Anyone has same problem?

Which part of the earth u stay? I have lots of friends and colleagues who use this phone but first time hearing such a problem with this phone. R u speaking truth or not???
I recently upgraded my cell phone contract and was took the Samsung A3 on the advice from the sales person, but also based on the billing plan I am on. I was happy for all of 2 days with the phone, this was till I loaded two apps which i use a lot....that being Whatsapp and Facebook. Ever since then the RAM gets blocked up heavy and then forces my phone to start down. I can not use a phone like this, as I had a Samsung pocket then a Samsung S4 mini and both these were a pleasure to use till now, making me wonder if Iphone is not maybe a better "smartphone"
Is there a way I can fix this, i turned off all background apps from running but still this has not helped. After every short message or quick facebook check-in i have to shut down the phone.
zerrc, 04 Jan 2017P9 by far It is valid also for the price!...more than twice where I live.
Tailonas, 11 Jan 2017Used for a only a month... Deleted everything from my phone and still stops every 15 minutes! ... morepress and hold power button and volume down button simultaneously for 10 seconds. It's called hard reset....it restarts you phone when it's frozen stuck.Didn't you know this by now?
I really loved this phone as I am against huge-secreened modern phones. It looks great, but after 7 months of use I'm giving up.
I thought it was a keyboard lag... then I thought it was Lollipop, but after the update the lag was less frequent but was still there. It's not a touchscreen problem... I've tried different keyboards and it happens anyway. While using whatsapp/Telegram/Allo or any chatting app, the keyboard becomes extremely laggy and it's impossible to type withouth getting an awful result.
After all the updates, wiping cache, resets, different keyboards, freezing apps, debloating the phone... the problem will never go away, because 1.5 gb ram is not enough to have a smooth performance... everytime the phone is demanded it gets hot and laggy...
The only solution I found everytime it gets hot and therefore laggy is shutting off the phone until it's cold again.
It was an expensive midranger, and I feel disappointed to see that the J series work better...

This phone is slower than iPhone 5, so specs aren't as good. You just don't know anything about tech and think only cores and megapixels matter. But I think you will open your eyes after no more than one year. I also once downgraded from iPhone 5 to Xperia M4 Aqua. Thought it will be better but nope, midrange just doesn't come close to flagships, especially if the flagship is an iPhone which doesn't get slow after 4 years, still gets updates and works like on day one (or maybe little slower but then again with the latest and greatest OS, apps and features)
