Great phone, especially for the price. Bought it for 240 euro in The Netherlands. I also have an iPhone 7 as my primary phone that I bought for 730 euro. Big price difference. The A3 feels better in the hand. It has a much better wifi range in my bedroom, about 8 metres from my router. A3 can load youtube videos fast, almost instantly and iPhone 7 takes incredibly long to load or skip to other parts of video. I can't understand why that is, because the iPhone is 500 euro more expensive. Also battery life is AMAZING! 4h20m onscreen time with 66% battery left!! Never had a phone with this great battery life. I've compared photos on laptop of the two phones, and the iPhone is only slightly better in low light. In normal light it's almost the same quality. If I knew this before I would never bought the expensive iPhone. I always thought cheaper phones are not good enough, slow and bad camera. But with A3 2017 this isn't true! Samsung did a fantastic job with making this phone. Oh, the sound quality is acceptable and is loud, but not nearly as good as iPhone 7 with double stereo speakers. But that doesn't justify the price difference :) I would definitely recommend this phone because of the price-quality ratio. Of course you have cheap chinese phones that offer a lot for cheap price, but I don't trust those brands even Huawei I wouldn't buy. Go for A3!
I just recently bought this phone and I'm so confused. I haven't even used it but it says I used up 6.6GB our of 16GB is already used. Also how do I save all my pictures directly to the SD card? I don't want any saved on my internal storage at all.
My mum has a phone (not this) but it won't save any pictures to the SD card, they have to be manually moved or the SD card needs to be formatted before the phone can begin saving pictures directly onto the SD card. To avoid this I would rather set it up so all my pictures, videos etc get directly saved onto the SD card from the beginning.
Thanks in advance to anyone who replies :)

Just got this phone (Y/DS variant) set up with AT&T in the United States. I love it. My last phone was the Alpha, which I loved when I first got it, but in its last year I had to yank the battery 3x daily.
This phone is everything I wished the Alpha had been. Very fast, not crash prone, long battery life, and the over-bright notification LED is gone, replaced with an elegant always-on display. I'm getting good LTE 4G, despite not having band 20.
A note on bringing a phone like this to AT&T: Do NOT use the phone's true IMEI. Use the IMEI of a genuine made-for-AT&T Samsung phone instead (especially helpful if you're decommissioning one, which I was). The IMEI in AT&T's database does not need to match your hardware (only the SIM needs to), but they will not "provision" 4G LTE or visual voice mail to your phone, despite the capabilities. You will be limited to their 3G H+ data network and classic (Dial 1) voice mail if your IMEI is not in their "approved 4G devices" range, and this import won't be.
I'm interested on the Galaxy A3 2017 phone. Specs wise it seems very good on that front. But I have been hearing some issues like:
1. USB Type-C is of the 2.0 version and not the faster 3.0?
2. Strange speaker placement making the sound tinny?
3. Blue light filter not baked in on the quick shortcuts?
4. Overall screen quality poor in direct sunlight &/or has poor sunlight readability?
5. Camera photo quality is slightly poorer/inferior to previous models? No image stabilisation even on 1080p 30fps?
6. Multitasking and apps still reload pointing out to poor memory management?
Can someone please confirm or advice? Thanks.

Or I do not fully understand when this sound should stop. But whenever I poke the back of the device or even place it on the table it makes the sound if something would be loose in the phone.
qpasp, 05 Jun 2017Hey! did you find out more about the sound that comes from the camera? I also have it and I do... morethat's normal it's the lens. the camera hardware makes a sound when focusing and stops when your camera gets its focus. All my phones have the same sound when using the camera. especially my Lumia phones. that just means that you have an optical focus and not a digital one.
