Az, 14 Sep 2018Owners of this phone - aren't the minimal 16 GB and 2 GB ram problematic? Asker of this question - it depends on what you use it for. I have Android 8.0 on mine and there's 9.5GB internal storage free out of the box which is plenty for me as I don't install many apps or games. After installing everything I use, I still have 6GB internal storage free.
Regarding memory, I do a lot of email and browsing, often with up to 15 tabs open. 3GB would definitely be better but looking at my usage stats on a 4GB phone, I rarely use above 2.5GB. The good thing with Oreo on the A3 is that it will auto close apps you haven't used for 3 days releasing memory. Whilst 3GB would be desirable, I've not had any issues with 2GB.
Maggz, 09 Sep 2018How to separate Original a3 2017 from A3 2017 (Fake) ??Where you buy from ??? Reputable.
IMEI the best source, then just visit imei.info and have it checked up, if u can't use the imei, look at the sensors, also the fingerprint on ''fake'' phones aren't included, or have less/more sensors than the original, third way is to look at the display, the ''fake'' ones can't have AMOLED displays for sure, so on the ''fake'' ones the display would have worse quality than the AMOLED, still as for me, the imei is the best way to find out, good luck :)
MrOldschool, 04 Sep 2018Hey there. I am new owner of this model. Not yet upgraded to Oreo, I am on 7.0. Some Google re... moreandroid distribution for august 2018 is out and majority is still using nougat

sutty, 18 Aug 2018does the a3 2017 have screen mirroring functonYes it have .
Also Samsung has knox for security on top of Google's security. So Samsung users are covered!.
Viper, 06 Sep 2018in that case he/she would miss the security patch from July 2018, not very recommended for saf... moreBut even for my computers I don't give a crap about it having the latest security updates or not, since I rarely download exe programs onto my PC whose source is not trusted. Same for my phone, so I don't give a crap about whether my phone is vulernable or not, as long as it doesn't stop me from using certain programs that I need. I don't go to porn sites! etc..... Id rather have software i like than i don't , Oreo was to buggy for me and takes up more room
Anonymous, 06 Sep 2018Keep 7 not much Oreo offers!!! in that case he/she would miss the security patch from July 2018, not very recommended for safety reasons
MrOldschool, 04 Sep 2018Hey there. I am new owner of this model. Not yet upgraded to Oreo, I am on 7.0. Some Google re... morei'm using Oreo on my A3 2017, since May month, security patch level July 1, 2018 (currently), so far no crashes or whatsoever the phone is pretty amazing for it's price range, even before the security patch level from July 2018, didn't had even one single crash problem or other similar troubles. But i'd leave it up to you, if you wanna do upgrade from 7.0 Nougat to 8.0 Oreo, my experiences are positive from 8.0 Oreo, pretty stable OS
Hey there. I am new owner of this model. Not yet upgraded to Oreo, I am on 7.0. Some Google results says it was not stable with Oreo on May, what about now? Fixed and stable, or I should keep the 7.0?
stunning libra, 10 Aug 2018bought that phone.. really good, i must say its monster in small pack. tiny device but superb ... moreI really wish that Huawei would make a compact sub 4.7" phone with a front mountewd fingerprint sensor. I love EMUI and the Huawei fingerprint sensors are the best in the business. Lightning quick and super responsive. The only compact phone that has a better fingerprint sensor than the A3 2017 is the XZ1 Compact.
And another thing. Why on earth does Samsung give us mobiles with AMOLED screens and that ship with a horrible glaring white theme out of the box? Just include a black theme already already and stop being obnoxious. Can't say that I think Grace is any better than TouchWiz.
