Perfect size, decent performance, average battery life, horrible sound quality - both the in-call speaker and the loudspeaker sound terrible (compared to my previous A5 2016)

Perfect sized phone with gorgeous front, ruined by ugly back, underpowered processor and bad night camera shooter. Everything else is pretty great, battery life is just average.

So must be regional or their own provider. Battery well no phone really last 3days I'm yet to see one with normal use, and its the budget S10e IMHO!!! ....... I love it. Lastly where is 10 .. if they brought out AOD this would be 10/10 .. perhaps someone can port it or something its on APK mirror just doesn't load. But i tried a ported one and it showed in settings but the Nav bar showed.

As I'm scrolling through the comments and opinions about this phone, other than the horrible English by most of you, I noticed quite a few bad comments about this phone. Well, I have this phone myself, for about 8 months now, and honestly, it's great. Not fabulous, not horrible, just in the middle, leaning a bit towards fabulous. I agree with most of you saying the battery is the worst part of the phone, but even that is okay, and can easily get you through a day with medium use. Now for the bad comments, most of you were saying the phone's reception and call quality is not substantial. Some were even complaining that it bends easily and has the speaker is weak. Honestly, the only thing I can say to those people are: 1. Your phone reception and call quality depend on the region, and with the region I'm in I can't comlain. 2. If that's not it, your phone is definitely a chinese fake or malfunctional. Anyways, looking forward to ONE UI 2.0 with Android 10 coming April, next month. Hopefully, AOD comes along and looking forward to the new gestures and animations. Overall, judging by my device, this phone is a major major go!

My fault. The "More options" button was incative with Microsoft launcher. With OneUI it works and allows me to add side swipe for BACK.

Right now I watched a video for gestures in OneUI 2 and they've truly added new types of gestures, accessible by the "More options" button, but for a40 this button is disabled.

This morning I installed the update. So far I haven't find absolutely nothing new.
No AoD. In the change log it was stated new type of gestures - the gestures are same.
No haptic vibration.
The only differences I've found is changed interface of Device care, added menu in notification shade for power off and restart.
The bug for delay in 2 seconds when I answer a call is still presented.
I think the dark mode looks better, but I am not sure.

a have had my Samsung galaxy a40 for 8 months now and its a great wee phone 5.9inh screen and a think the battery is fine and am on my phone a lot
