a have had my Samsung galaxy a40 for 8 months now and its a great wee phone 5.9inh screen and a think the battery is fine and am on my phone a lot

I am using the phone for more than 3 months and overall impressions aren't great.
I purchased this device because of its dimensions - it seems to be the smallest relatively capable phone on the market for a reasonable price. And here the good ends.
The biggest issue I have with the phone is when somebody calls me and I answer, there is period of 2-3 seconds until when they can hear me. So I say twice "Alo, Alo" and then I can start the conversation.
The loudspeaker of the phone is terrible - I really can't hear nothing if I play youtube video (so I don't even try).
The phone comes with AMOLED display, but doesn't have any always on display nor notification light and I constantly check for emails and SMS since this is my business phone and it is in silent mode.
The screen isn't great on direct sunlight, but it is acceptable.
The phone doesn't have haptic feedback. I like phones with good vibration to respond to my actions.
The battery life for my usage is OK - 2 days, but as I said the phone is only for calls, emails and SMS messages.
As conclusion I can say this phone is for people who don't want to carry shovel in their pockets and are ready to live with its shortages.
I hope that Android 10 update will bring AOD feature and will fix connection delay issues.

galaxy40, 21 Feb 2020I readed all kinds of comments about bad battery life so i would like to someone tell me more ... moreI'm user of A40 2 days now. Just about battery and my settings. Yesterday unplug my phone 100% at 5.30am then Google maps for navigation 2.5 hrs, YouTube 0.5hr, Chrome 1hr plus Facebook, messanger, a bit of calls and txt, playing with themes and customize homescreen. At 3.30am with 28% battery left charging again. So in total 22hrs usage with 4hrs 50mins screen on time and 28% battery left is very good imho. My settings. I use package disabler pro for all Samsung bloatware, no fingerprint sensor and no double tap to wake. Mobile data on, wifi on, and gps always on. NFC off, bluetooth off.

Can you change the resolution on this phone? Like, can you lower it in order to squeeze more battery life? I'm looking forward to buy it due to its compact size, but the battery life is worrying me

Battery life seems quite good,
Advice get a gel case as it is very slippery in the hand,
