I've had my phone since 2019: it has done me great service and proven quite sturdy, having survived numerous falls and rough handling over the years. Recently the battery has begun passing away: it is now dying at like 40-55%. I did order a replacement battery and am optimistic: I intend to keep this fellow working for a few more years.

My sister is considering buying a53 and I don't see a reason why because the A series is now shit. There are much better phones out there for the same price. Still, she isn't changing her mind. Idc anymore, she is going to have a shit phone about a 2 and a half years later because the chip performance is the same to the phones in 2018.
I have this phone since June 2019. It still works great. I feed it with an sd card 512GB (tons of albums on Tidal). I had to change the USB cable a few months ago. That's all! It still didn't give me a reason to buy a new one.
I've been using this phone since January 2020, served me good til' this year, it started lagging more during the summer and the battery is really bad. The system really puts pressure on memory too, 64GB is not enough anymore. Volume up and down buttons aren't working anymore, you have to change your volume in the settings which sucks. Camera is also laggy, but everything else besides some lag issues it's ok. I am thinking of buying an iPhone XR or Xiaomi Redmi note 10.
I want to do hard reset for my A40 after it has entered the recovery menu it can't open wipe data again

I Own this phone since she came out. Unfortunally, since a couple of months it is lagging quite a bit. Fingerprint sensor is gargbage, luckily the face id is good enough. I am looking for a replacement and the Samsung Galaxy A33 seems interesting. Unfortunally it is quite a bit bigger.
Had it for little over two years, best smartphone I ever owned in terms of performance. Did everything it needed to do smoothly. Only problem I had was the screen broke in my pocket while working as a tree worker. I had it repaired for 120 euros, and it worked for some more months, but then I got charging issues. Pressing the middle of the phone under the fingerprint scanner worked pretty well for about another month to get it to charge. But eventually that didn't do it anymore. When I went to repair that as well, the guy told me the screen was dead again as well, I didn't want to pay for replacing that again, so I bought a samsung A01 core instead, which basically sucked and I smashed it out of hatred. I am now awaiting my Samsung Xcover 5.
Garbage phone. I have this phone since 2019 and the charging port always had problems

frienzie, 30 Apr 2022Buy a samsung s8 of s9 or s7 edgeDude, I bought Galaxy A40 in may 2019, and A40 died in June 2022. The phone was fabulous. Best phone ever. Size of A40 is just great, and I decided to go for S20, just because of the size. S20 is toooooo great to be true, go for S20.
This phone is so good It's better than my old OPPO reno5 lite or the huawei p30 lite. Idk how
Garbarge phone. I had to change charging port twice. 30 bucks each time.
