Samsung Android Rumors

The Samsung Galaxy A40 has gone through Geekbench. It is powered by an Exynos 7885 chipset, which was recently featured on the Galaxy M20. The higher-end A-series phone does have more RAM – 4GB.

Though that’s not that much, going just a step up to the Galaxy A50 with an Exynos 9610 chipset and 4GB or 6GB of RAM. The difference in multi-core performance is tangible, in single-core less so. Both use Cortex-A73 as the “big” cores, but in different configurations – 2+6 and 4+4 – which explains the difference in multi-core power.

The Samsung Galaxy A40 will reportedly have an AMOLED display while the A50 will use an LCD. The new A-series is coming to Europe, starting with these two phones first. They may have in-display fingerprint readers as well as dual cameras.

Exynos 9610 in A50 geekbench score is actually better than Galaxy A8 Star with SD660. The fact that E9610 a 10nm chipsets help.
