Adul Al Salami Kebab, 14 Sep 2020What SoC is this running?750G
720p on 6.6in display w/60hz refresh rate = great battery life. 750G SoC = great performance.
I never had so much problems with a brand new phone and never needed to call the manufacturer. I have bought Samsung products in the past and I have found them unreliable
I've been having problems from day one with his phone the screen freezes up customer service at Samsung is terrible even bring it to the authorized service center has not fixed the problems terrible phone I have spent over 30 hours on the phone with customer knows service is still phone is a piece of crap and I can't even post this because when I tap the submit button the screen does not recognize my fingers tap

Battery life far exceeds what I was getting on my S20 FE. Camera seems very good, too. Great colours and details. Screen is great, despite the lower resolution. I got it on Amazon Germany for £235. In the UK, it would have cost me £319. I'm very happy with it.

Then by the time the A42 5G appeared it sprouted to 6.6" at 720p with its particularly low 266ppi all in the aid of 5G.
Technically spec for spec, the "A32 4G" is actually the hidden yet true successor to the 6.1" A41...

Ab... moreI'm seriously considering getting the A42 5G over the A52 5G (I've already had the A72 but sent it back as it kept reporting that the SD card was removed - a common bug on that phone). A42 5G gives excellent battery life because of the lower resolution display (which isn't even bad (I've seen it in person) and larger battery (compared to A52 5G). For me, battery life is very important. Of course, we look at our screens when using the phone so screen is important, too, but as I said, it's not even bad. As for 60hz only, that is enough for me. I've had 90hz and 120hz phones and will always choose 60hz as it's been enough for me all these years, and it will ensure I get the best battery life compared to a higher refresh rate. In the past, not once have I thought "Oh, I wish the refresh rate was higher".

Think about it. Sure, the SD750G isn't the absolute best, but the 720p will mean your graphics will just fly. The 5000 mAh battery is also gaming-friendly. 60hz is... erm... (cmon Sammy, why???) but other than that, budget gamers have a pretty capable device that actually performs up to flagship level in terms of graphics.

About the user experience and where it matters is where the A42 5G has to rely on the naive and gullable and desperate for 5G despite its downsides, UK Market here btw where we don't actually get the A52 4G with Samsung but can be found on Amazon, yes you loose 5G and slightly less performance on paper but check below if you do find the A52 4G for sale.
A42 5G £319(UK) vs A52 4G Aprox £320(Amazon UK)
Display: 720p 60Hz vs 1080p 90Hz
Chipset: 750G vs 720G SoC
Main Cam: 48MP No OIS vs 64MP with OIS
Selfie Cam: 20MP vs 32MP
Battery: 5000mah vs 4500mah
The A52 4G has a sharper 1080p display with 90Hz, a bonus as it's the thing that you look at most and gave to use to interact with the device.
The A52 has Optical Image Stabilization to improve the sharpness and quality of photos by reducing natural shake
specs doesn't make sense
My complaint is that phones in mid range are no longer having noise cancellation facility! what happened???Gsmarena kindly help us to always avail this to us.Thank you.
pekebo, 18 Apr 2021I am a newbie. Just bought a Samsung Galaxy A42 5G from the Verizon store in Auburn, Maine. ... moreThe US spec seems to be missing the macro camera in the top left of the square, which is replaced by the led flash (yellow/white), which is usually positioned separate to the square in the picture of other specs of the phone (hence the u shape of the cases).
The macro camera isn't that great though.
I am a newbie. Just bought a Samsung Galaxy A42 5G from the Verizon store in Auburn, Maine. My old phone finally gave up (touch screen was no longer reacting to any touches - so could not even off-load anything - bummer. The camera configuration consists of 4 "lenses" (I don't know what they are called). All the pictures I have seen on-line show 5. Even the cases I have looked at have a "U" carved out at the lower-left of the position where the other four lenses are. I am totally confused. Does anyone know what I actually bought? Thanks
