Randy, 03 Feb 2016I have been using the A5 2016 for almost a week now. I dropped my phone 20 hours after I bough... moreYes, maybe performance would be better after some updates....but you know, it's nothing for sure... you would expect not to have such problems from Samsung...from the beggining I mean....it's a bit dissapointing, yes, all phones have a problem or two.....but you know, phones nowadays aren't so cheap and you wouldn't pay for phones who have problems like that.... :)
AnonD-496799, 04 Feb 2016Got my A5 2016 yesterday, it was perfectly well, but after the update my back camera got blurr... moreWhat update, to what version ? I saw few people here who complaint about this problem with the camera, it would be helpful for us all to know exactly what is the problem with the camera, because at this price you would expect to not have this problems, regardless of android version or something like that....
Aen, 01 Feb 2016Why my camera suddently blurry? Cant focus also. But front camera is okGot my A5 2016 yesterday, it was perfectly well, but after the update my back camera got blurry too. The front camera works fine. I am really disappointed.
alin, 01 Feb 2016Ok. Anyway, now I am interested only in this one, A5 2016. It's very nice all-in-all, but it's... moreI have been using the A5 2016 for almost a week now. I dropped my phone 20 hours after I bought it and yes it did scratch the top left edge. Considering that it was made with glass and that it fell from a height of approx. 1 meter, I was surprised with its quality as i got. O cracked glass and the scratch on the end is very minor and difficult to spot.
There is no fingerprint visible on the glass back, and I got the Gold A5 2016. The glass has no problem with fingerprints at all.
One problem I noticed is its performance where it started to stutter after using it for 3 days, and is getting worse now. The phone got frozen once when I got a call and I tried to answer it. Performance is a bummer here, but battery life is incredible as it outlast my note 4 by 100%.
Overall, I do recommend the A5 2016 as it looks beautiful (looks a lot better in real than in pictures), price is fair (got it for approx. USD 390 in Indonesia), and I expect Samsung to fix the stuttering issue with coming software updates.
alin, 02 Feb 2016And another thing : I would be interested in this A5, because it doesn't have glass on the bac... moreActually it depends on you. If you use it as a volleyball ball then yes. But in my case, I've been using it for a year without a case or bumper - so far it has only 2 scratches. I've got them from dropping accidentally. One very nice thing about this phone is that it's slim: 6.7mm. Due to it's size it won't tear your pockets)
And another thing : I would be interested in this A5, because it doesn't have glass on the back, like the new one, right ? But I read that the edges cover with scratches very easily, is it true ? It would be a bad thing to have a new phone which looks old in 1 week already..... It isn't nice.
Arcbeetle, 31 Jan 2016@alin I been doing the same research about the A series for months now. There really isnt m... moreOk. Anyway, now I am interested only in this one, A5 2016. It's very nice all-in-all, but it's just 1 thing that worries me : fingerprints on that glass back. How bad are they visible on white ? Because on black version I think it's terible...
I would like to buy a5 but its front cam don't have flash light.... so which one is better a5 or j7.
looks wise a5 is good but what about camera.
I been doing the same research about the A series for months now. There really isnt much difference from the first A5 compared to the new A3 (2016) other than the slightly faster processor. However the A3 has a smaller screen, slighty more ppi, lower ram (1.5GB) and much higher priced in my country. I would still go for the first A5, I made a big mistake in the past for going for a phone with a better processor and lower RAM and paid the price. Nothing lower than 2GB of RAM for any new phone you are thinking of buying I would say.
Hey guys, for those more informed than me : which one is better, in terms of good functioning, camera, display, signal, quality of voice, etc, between this one, and A3 2016 ? Because the first A5 and the second A3 are at the same price in my country, and I would like to know how they are... Or, all-in-all, which generation is better, this one - the first, or the new one - the second ? Thanks in advance.
