Ali, 22 Oct 2021Will Samsung give Android 12 for the a50?No Bro, Android 11 is the last one.
This phone is a piece of junk. I have had for 2 years and nothing but trouble between not charging and then erasing everything. Do NOT buy.
Stratos, 05 Sep 2021Oled displays are much better,i can't understand why you wouldn't prefer themA lot of people don't like how OLED screens are so expensive to replace if they break. It also makes the phone more expensive to buy. Why else would other companies offer an identical phone with a 6.5" FHD LCD for $100 less?
This was the best buy 2 years ago, by specs, look, brand... BUT!
After 2 years of use, this phone showes that it is total CRAP. No proper gorilla glas protection (only gorilla 3),
Fingerprint scaner TOTALY useless, it cost me a LOT of nerves, baterry doesnt show fast charging after updating on android 10 and 11 and it doeant last more than 20 hours no metter how much i use it...
Next one wont be samsung for sure!
And i loved this brand a lot...samsung, what happened to you?
Have been using this phone for over 2 years. No major problems yet. Though 64GB is just too little.
Waking up a bit early, I noticed that when I charge my A50 overnight it slows down right around 80% and starts going really slow before picking back up to get full right around my usual wake up time. Its the same as Optimized Charging in Apple and OnePlus, does A50 really have it? Or is it possible that there is a problem with the charger?
My Galaxy A50 has a charging problem. I have to restart that phone to charge it.If I don't restart, it won't charge
Overall, a good a50 experience here since March 2019. Also stable, early and best updates compared with my Xiaomi's. Lucky me because i've got no battery or heating issues ever since.
I have been using my A50 for more than 2 years now and it was stuck in the boot screen 4-5 times already and all data has been deleted and now I cannot do the force start or the clearing of the cache nor reset page when pressing the power and down or up button. Hopefully, there is someone who could help me with this instead of bringing this to service centers which will cost a lot.
After using thus phone for 2 and a half years my phone has purple patch at the bottom of the screen and keeps spreading. Not sure is I accidentally damage the screen or samsung phones do not last long. Not going to repair and and will jump ship to xiaomi instead XD
I have been using A50 for over 2 years now with 2-3 hrs of daily usage and so far I have no complaints against it besides the shorter span of battery - which I think is normal given the wear and tear of batteries.
The phone is heating when charging and wifi/data is turned on otherwise it's not so.
Still satisfied with my A50 and I hope it will last another year or so.
I used this device for over a year. Minor complain is that it heats while charging. Probably due to the fast charger.
Some reports are coming from the blogs that A50 is getting Android12 based on ui 4.0...Hope its not fake
I have use this A50 since Jun 2019, and I can give the conclusion: Overall is good, it's right choice for people who need smartphone as daily driver, but the network quality is BAD! (Yes, i still have network issue until right now).
Currently using A50. Working pretty well 2.5 years in. Storage at 128GB never really ran out. Just the battery is getting less SOT so I find myself plugging it into the charger more often.
Gonna upgrade to Note 10 plus because I need the stylus. Not aiming for Note 20 or Note 20 Ultra as both upgrades are quite miniscule compared to the asking price for it. Flagship phones tech incremental upgrades are approaching its limits anyway so it should last pretty long. I dont even need to upgrade tbh, current A50 still works fine. But well, the stylus potentially generates me extra income so I'm probably gonna get it.
