Mine is turned of and it still does, all sorts of battery modes are off too, still does it. I got in touch with Samsung and they said to return it.

Anonymous, 06 May 2020No, i returned mine because of screen dimming on its own Screen dims automatically when you turned on the adaptive brightness...your phone is not a defect, it's a common feature :)

V, 05 May 2020I faced the same GPS issues with my A50 too. So when you switch on the gps and start navigatin... moreAlso the chipset has nothing to do with GPS accuracy. And exynos 9610 is on par with snapdragon 660 don't worry. Likely its google maps fault or something running in the background consuming CPU power.

So when you switch on the gps and start navigatin... moreAll phones take a while to get a fix on GPS, if it is taking longer for you this means that your network is slow and downloading Almanac for the GPS is taking slightly longer. If you have no internet connection at all it takes a few minutes for the phone to download Almanac from the satellites themselves at an awful 10 Bit/s (the satellites fault not gps).
