Fahad99, 12 Dec 2020Need Opinion. i am Samsung lover and my budget allows me to buy A31. Should i get that or try ... moreBoth are extremely bad phones. I've used A51 and I can only compare it with 100EUR phones.
Display, performance, battery, and most of all even its camera.
You should buy a used Samsung Galaxy A70. That's the cheapest Samsung phone which is worth buying.

Some wou... moreYes the exynos processor is its achilles heel but me or most ppl here not having problem with daily usage or social media app...it may be problem in heavy gaming, though its not as bad as stated in midrange aspect...dunno what is your RAM size in phone ...and dunno what you mean by lagging as its relative aspect but as of now my phone dint freeze at all even at intense call of duty fight...camera and battery is decent ,not the best but can go okay...this year even the flagship exynos of samsung was more problematic and had heating issues...hopefully this upcoming year it will be much better and as of now its confirmed that successor of A51 ,A52 5g will have sd 750g and better camera sensors,so you can think of exchange and upgrade ,or you can go other brands though not much there either where you can have some good software and hardware like knox security ,secure folder ,samsung pay,and long term updates etc
I rarely write negative reviews on anything but this is an exception. This is literally the wort phone I've ever had. Battery drains in literally 4 and a half hours. the phone overheats if i play Tetris. And if I decide to post a pic on Instagram phone freezes for a minute and i cant do anything. It lags so bad that I want to change it asap. camera is ok and the display is the only good thing about this phone. fingerprint works 5/10 times. Please do not waste your money on this phone. gave back to the store for them to run a test. They described it like a good condition. Well if this is a good condition then I'm a ballerina. Also forgot to mention that display scratches faster than average. this is not a problem tho i can buy a protector.

I own A51 and must say that I am very unsatisfied. First of all, phone is overpriced. Some would say "you pay for quality", but here this is not the case. Toichscreen is unresponsive at times and acts strange ocassionally. Camera, even though the sensors are great and photo quality is more than satisfying the use of the same can give you headaches, since it takes to long to take the shot due to lame Samsung Exynos chipset and it is not rare for Camera app to simole crash after taking oen and usually when it happens it does not save photo. When it comes to performance it is average at best nad compared to other phones made by other manufacturers in mid-range class it does not stand good.
My experience with this phone is very pleasant. I am using this since a week. I did use a couple of phones for short term (Galaxy M21, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 9, Poco M2 Pro, K20 Pro) before finally deciding to stick with this phone for 2 years. Bought in December 2020.
Display quality is great, afterall it's an AMOLED Screen. Sound Quality is Loud n Clear, including in call sound. Day To Day Performance Is Great I Have the 8GB 128GB Variant. RAM Management is very good. Not into Gaming. Punch hole camera looks better than waterdrop or u shaped notch and single camera in the front is better than ugly dual camera punchole in front so I liked the punch hole design. It is 6.5 inch screen and the screen to body ratio is impressive, I guess it's 95% since the chin is very minimal. The design is not too tall so the size is not too big like those new 6.67 inches screen size phones. I'm impressed with the rear camera quality in daylight, night mode also takes good pictures but sometimes blurry due to no image stabilization. Camera quality certainly seems better than my previous phone Redmi K20 Pro. The body is plastic which easily scratches and at this price it is not acceptable but what to do, have to compromise somewhere. In display fingerprint Sensor works with 95% accuracy the trick is to register the same finger twice but sadly only upto 3 fingerprints can be added. The software side is good I have used TouchWiz and earlier versions of One UI it's pretty clean and customizable and packed with features. So it is running One UI 2.5 which is not too different from One UI 2.1. No complaints on software side. Battery is 4000 mAh and if you are a heavy user you may need to charge twice, in my experience but it supports fast charging so no problem. My experience with Exynos 9611 on Galaxy M21 suggests that this processor isn't meant for graphics intensive games. AOD is supported and so is double tap to unlock. Generally the phone doesn't heat up on normal usage or even during charging so thumbs up. I'm getting 4G+ symbol so again thumbs up. Thankfully the headphone jack is there, I don't feel the need of Bluetooth earbuds so I'm good with my wired earphones. I think its a good phone for long term usage if Samsung will support on the software side for a few years down the line.

Try another thing before.. Go to settings>device care> click right upper corner on 3 dots>open Advanced> turn both 'auto optimisation 'and 'optimise settings' on
Also open device care>battery>adaptive power savings to on
Else reboot your phone and see

Fahad99, 12 Dec 2020Need Opinion. i am Samsung lover and my budget allows me to buy A31. Should i get that or try ... moreThe processor is better in A51. I have used both. A51 has better speed. It also has Alt+Z life, if you are into it.
Need Opinion. i am Samsung lover and my budget allows me to buy A31. Should i get that or try to have some extra money for A51 if there is a huge difference between two as i can't see only difference between them is front cam and internal RAM.

My A51 battery is draining out rapidly. I observed continuously for 5 days my battery % comes down every night. Figures are as follows before sleep % and morning %...... 46 - 24 , 32 - 21 , 48 - 03, 56 - 40, 39 - 09. Even I have turned of background apps permanently. This problem comes frequently

Tom2131, 10 Dec 2020Have you notice that the ultrawide camera is better than the main camere in colors, sharps?I swear.. And its so annoying
Ayy, 10 Dec 2020How long your battery last? Mines last like 6 or 8 hrs and could you suggest whats the good th... moreMine lasts 14 hours 9 mins with 8 hours 26 minutes screen-on time (from 88% - 5%)
The 80% - 100% battery capacity is actually stronger than the 0 - 80% in terms of energy, but the battery gets worned out a lot when charged all the way to full cap, so I'd suggest that you only do that when necessary.
Optimize your settings as well (you could actually use Bixby Routines for automated setting changes).
Reboot your phone regularly (at least once in 3 days). I'd recommend doing it before sleeping, because it helps stop the background app activities that occur then... [NOT ADVISABLE WHEN YOU HAVE IMPORTANT NOTIFICATIONS COMING UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT]

I figured out that it's actually the Smart Stay function that keeps on accessing the camera, since a second after the outline pops up, the screen dims. It also happens only if I leave it for a while.
