What I want to ask is : if the A51 comes with 8GB RAM, can it be used in Singapore? Today when I make enquiries with the Samsung Experience Store, the promoter tells me that Singapore only import the A51 with 6GB RAM. THE 8GB RAM version is an export set. What should I do with the Samsung Galaxy A51 which comes with 8GB RAM? Can the 8GB version be used in Singapore?
Yesterday I just bought this Samsung Galaxy A51 with 8GB RAM from a handphone shop in Singapore. When I ask other shopowners about this, they tell me this must be an export set because the Singapore version comes with 6GB RAM. Can this 8GB RAM set be used in Singapo
Parile, 21 Jun 2020Redmi note 9 pro?
Mi note 10 lite?
Or any other phone from Vivo, Oppo?Mi note 10 lite, Galaxy A71, Vivo V19, Nova 5T, I could easily recommend any of those over the A51.
The Realme 6 and Redmi Note 9s/9pro sure offer much better value for money, but it's a display quality vs better performance kind of situation, the exynos 9611 is really a bad choice AT THIS PRICE, on the other side, the AVERAGE lcd displays on the realme and the redmi are way behind the amoled of the A51.
If you want to get rid of the heating problem just turn your screen light lower, because it may be enough strong to hurt your eyes and you can still see even if you turned lower

This appears to be the best phone for my requirements. Need guidance from you all - that if I buy this handset in India, would it work in Europe? I mean are the frequency bands compatible... Thanks in advance

AhmedSLL, 20 Jun 2020Yes I'd pick the p40 lite anytime (if it had gms ofcourse), but let's be reasonable here, most... more40W fast charging is not offered in this price segment nornally either. But I agree that OneUI is the king of UI's.
Especially since it has GoodLock modules.
Try the P40 Lite image processing first. Samsung is honestly not worth it with this price.
Yeah AMOLED is quite the tech, P40 lite's display feels cold.
And the device itself is also thick & heavy.
And P40 Lite not being compatible with regular memory cards doesn't help either (I have a 256GB Samsung EVO+ SDcard.)
But you know what? Not having GMS might be good, as long as you know how and where to download apks and use them. Youvan even easily get GMS on it too, I dont see GMS being a dealbreaker
EMUI really isnt it chief
PartTimePhoner, 16 Jun 2020P40 Lite and A51 have the same price its ridiculous, I dont see a reason to go for A51 Yes I'd pick the p40 lite anytime (if it had gms ofcourse), but let's be reasonable here, most competitors (at least in the global market) don't offer an amoled screen at this price, some (including myself) prefer Samsung's image software processing over huawei and realme, and the soc isn't terrible for those who don't care much about gaming, and I think one ui is getting better with these mid-range chip sets compared to the early days of the A50. So I can see how this product can be appealing to some people, not me ofcourse.
